Unique and fun activities by slipinski

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Prima / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

Prima is a beautiful new ship with lots of exciting and inventive activities and spaces to try. We loved the race track and many of the new venues like Indulge Food Hall. There's no lack of outdoor space and nooks to sit and relax. Some of the interior spaces are a bit smaller than usual, but the service and food was excellent and provided an overall amazing experience.

New Ship Smell by AlanAndGlory

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Prima / Destination: Transatlantic

Wonderful cruise with a few glitches that couldn't be helped. The ship was designed for warm weather itineraries, which this wasn't, but overall, I can't complain.

North Atlantic in the Fall by JoeDoc359

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Norwegian Prima

The 10-day Iceland, Norway, Holland, Belgium, and England cruise on the Norwegian Prima. A great, family trip with my Mom, two sisters, and our spouses. The Prima is a great ship, but it isn't quite suited for a cold weather itinerary like this trip, The inside spaces are not big enough for everyone to be inside. The limitations of the ship did not take away from my enjoyment, though.

Great Weather Cruise by ampm1970

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Norwegian Prima

Overall, the ship was very beautiful and the solo cabin and lounge were well appointed and the coffee machine in the solo lounge was the best part (free lattes!). The itinerary was great and I can't wait to get back to Iceland. I enjoyed all the meal venues that I went to. I did not go to the buffet at all as I was able to utilize all the other venues. Even though it didn't affect my trip I did notice long lines to get into the smaller show venues and the sports areas and go carts weren't my interest so I didn't try to use those areas of the ship.

NCL Prima NOT Wortt it! by ses24v

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Prima

We just did the 11-day Iceland cruise on the Norwegian Prima. Family of four with upgrades and we spent over $20K+ for the entire vacation. This is NOT our first cruise, we have travelled Holland America, Royal, Carnival, etc. Additionally, I have travelled all over the world and successfully dealt with many cultures and ethnicities that work in the maritime industry (i.e., Philippines, Indonesian, etc.), so I was expecting a much different experience. We made the best of the time we had on our vacation. We will probably go with another cruise line in the future just because I am reading so many of the same issue from other people’s posts. So, this is not an isolated incident, there are true systemic problems with NCL which need to be addressed immediately.

Broadening our horizons by Lou17e

Overall, we're very pleased with our experience and want to hold on to the happy memories but it's hard to ignore all the negative things and realistically I think it's better to point these out in a review.

Very nice cruise by Mary0334

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Prima

It was our first time with NCL, and it was a very good experience. We appreciated the variety of free restaurant options and the quality of the destinations (even though we didn't choose any NCL excursions). The excursions offered by NCL are much too expensive compared to similar options on GetYourGuide. The cabin was good, and the ship was really enjoyable.

Swing and a Miss! by JRBrandes

The itinerary for this cruise was top notch. The ports of call are all spectacular. This helped to overcome some of the shortcomings of the ship itself.

HAVEN is the real deal. Worth every penny of the upgrade. The cruise was more than we expected and the scenery was unbelievably beautiful. The food and beverages were amazing. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. I HIGHLY recommend this cruise and ship.

NCL needs to step up their game! by Cardsfansince68

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Norwegian Prima

It had a lot of peaks and valleys but truly more valleys. The wifi I paid for was awful and unreliable. I dined ever evening in Hudsons or the Commodore and the menu was boring, lacked variety, and overall quality was poor.

Amazing Ship by Luvthesealife

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Prima

Ship was absolutely stunning with lots of smaller places. The buffet is a lot smaller than other ncl ships, but we never had a problem finding a seat. The indulge food hall was my favorite place as you have a variety of food truck options. Best speciality dinning was the Palomar restaurant.

Rip your excitement away by Fel350

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Prima

I’ll start by saying the crew was amazing, the haven outside bar staff was great as well as our butler, the only reason this is a 2 and not a 1. That being said, the cruise was nothing but disappointment. Starting with the food. The food was mediocre at best, I can cook better, and I expect a 5 star restraunt to cook better than me. Every steak I had was bland and / or over cooked. Even at the steak house, the rib eye was bland and chewy. Seafood was also bland and wasn’t fresh ( you would think on a cruise the seafood would be good). Every single day I was hoping for something tasty and it was just disappointment after disappointment. Ports… costa maya is a tourist trap if you want to goto the beach it’s a 40 min walk so your forced to pay minimum $60 to rent a golf cart. Belieze was nice. The 3rd stop I can’t tell you because we didn’t stop there because of wind, even though we heard through the grapevine that other ships docked there and another ship took our dock instead. So technically we paied their dock fees. The 4th stop was also such a tourist trap I can’t even remember the name. Soooo we only went to 1 beach the whole trip. The final straw for me was I was excited to do the go carts, and for some reason after the race my car didn’t register so I have no idea how I did. What is the point of racing if you don’t even know how you did? Last off, this is minor, but they only had 1 $10 minimum blackjack table and it was packed, forcing me to play higher limits. They should have 2-3 $10 min tables. I would definitely not recommend this cruise to anyone, especially for the cost. It felt like they would hype you up with excitement, and then rip it away from you with disappointment.
