The Summer Palace Dining Room was incredible --so beautiful ! If you want casual and modern , use Indigo. The food was so good that we never went to the extra charge restaurants!

Enjoyed their German luncheon. The Taste of Alaska just wasn't on par with the Jewel's last year.

Quality and choice of food was often better at the garden cafe than at the Summer Palace main dinning. We had early diners and asked for the same table and waitress ( Marites) and the service was excellent.

Pack light then you don't have to worry about luggage. Unpacking helped alot, even with 7 days found room for everything. Handicap toilet seat makes it really tight in bathroom so unless you really need it....don't

Highly recommend trying Norwegian's casual dining concept. No need to stuff bunch of sunburnt, shorts & t-shirt people into outdated dress clothes, but dress up if you prefer to show a little class.

Cabins could use a refresher. The specialty restaurants are not worth the extra cost! Breakfasts are the best!

upscale restaurants like the French had excellent escargots, the Brazilian steak was excellent. The Italian was terrible. Cagneys steakhouse was excellent.

All the food was good and the convenience of "freestyle cruising" was significant to making the trip enjoyable meaning all complementary restaurants were great! We did not eat at any other restaurants.

Avoid any rooms anywhere near bars. Smoking on the balcony apparently happens often.

The Indigo restaurant had major issues with service, much worse than the Summer Palace Restaurant.
