have been on many cruises and this by far was the most unusual with regard to the staff and service. Overall, the staff lacked personality. Most were very robotic and at times had attitude. When seated for meals at the Palace Resturant, I was really amazed of the attitude by staff when I asked to be seated next to the window. The response I received mutiple times was rolling eyes and attitude. Their body language and facial expressions was full of attitude. The service at the Palance resturant was really slowa nd the hostess was also rude. They had people waiting eventhough there empty tables all around. I did not understand that concept. Another time, while paying for the bingo game, my mother asked for the breakdown of the prices and the staff member responded the annouoncment was just made over the loud speaker. The short haired young blonde lady was not nice at all. She appeared like she just did not want to be there. The staff overall was rude. One morning at the Palace resturant we did have a very nice waiter. He was full of smiles and striving to please us. Also, the lady at the perfume store was very nice. The food was just okay. I do not know what changed at NCL whether it was managment or training team but whatever it is they need to go back to the way it was.

An easy ship to move around and to find your way around. The main problem ws that there were 12 different places to eat, but only four were free, and the menus werea bit of "same old, same old".

My wife and I were not expecting very much after our experiance on another past cruise. We were both very pleasantly surprised by the Norweign Pearl experiance. A very nice ship, larger than expected cabin, and the crew was outstanding. I spent more time talking to bartenders than to my wife. I would wholeheartedly recommend this trip to anyone considering a cruise. Tremendous value and very safe. Ed Benson

The service was fair. I think the auto bill of $12 a day took incenitive away for good service. Did not know about the $12 a day in advance. That cost me $336 for my wife and two kids. The did not go to their privite island, blameded it on the weather?? Hated that you had to pay for most dining.They ststed a nominal fee...well $25 for a family of four is $100....that is an expensive dinner.

Our group sailed on the NCL Pearl and it was fabulous. The ship was beautiful and quite large (so large we didn't even get to explore it all)! Our mini suite balcony room was constantly clean and the service outstanding. Whenever I had a question or needed something, I had no trouble receiving what I needed rather promptly and with such amazing consideration. The suite was roomy for a cruise ship and decorated beautifully. It also had quite a bit of more storage than expected. I did not expect to enjoy the Freestyle dining and yet the manner that the whole experience was handled was perfect. The other dining choices such as the Sushi Bar were outstanding as well. However, that being said, the main dining rooms were equally wonderful. The quality and service were equal to any 4 star restaurant we've been. The evening entertainment was shockingly good. The comedy show with Rod Long and the Second City shows were a real treat, yet even the Sharkbait show (which I didn't think I'd enjoy) was incredible. For dancing there was the Bliss Lounge which provided many different types of music. All in all this is the best cruise experience we've ever had!

Overall it was a good cruise. The rooms were too small and the food was basically the same every day. A variety of food choices would have been better.

Great cruise, excellent food and activities. We were very disappointed that my wife could not go on scuba excursion with me for my first open water ocean dive. NCL has a regulation, not PADI about having to dive within the last year. My wife has been scuba diving for years all over the world and I just got certified. The excursion associate did a poor job communicating that all she needed to do was to enroll in the Discover Scuba excusion and NCL would allow her to go with me. We thought she was trying to get us to do the Discover Scuba in place of the two tank dive in Belize. My wife insisted that I go alone. I think language becomes a problem sometimes as a lot of the cruise staff speak English as a second language.

We had a great time on the Norewgian Pearl. The ship is beautiful, full of dining and entertainment options, and staff by a wonderful group of people. It was the most relaxing vacation ever!

This was the cleanest ship I had cruised on. The staff was very warm and friendly, when you asked questions you got answers.

The Norweigan Pearl is a great ship. The layout is wonderful and easy to navigate. There are many varieties of restaurants (at additional cost) and activities (some at additional cost). The staff is very friendly and helpful. You do get very tired of everytime you sit down being asked multiple times if you want to buy overpriced drinks.

I have never been on a cruise before so it was the first time and I fell in love with the whole thing.

NCL Pearl was an amazing, a very well organized ship* crew! The crew was very informative, kept you on que of all the activities that were going on during the cruise, both on and off the ship. The Pearl was extremely clean and spacious (plenty of storage). The food was of abundance and scrumptious! You can choose something different to eat every evening. I would highly recommend this "FREE STYLE" cruising! Its the way to go with any lifestyle!

A wonderful way to spend two weeks. Try new food, new ports and relax all at the same time.

since this is my 5th cruise on diffrent lines i expected better the food was below average, so was the entertainment except for the first night the show was a tribute to the 4 seasons, was very dissapointed would not go on a ncl cruise ever

Very well run cruise ship.

When we first saw the ship, my brain had a hard time taking in the size, color, and its power. Going into the ship was like going back 100 years and experiencing real class and service. The quality of service was great and out suite had the most confortable bed, which rates a A plus.

We were fleeced at every turn - from $3 cans of Pepsi to $15 per bottle corkage fees for onshore purchases of wine - Did nothing extravagant, no drinking, no major purchases - and the on ship charges were $1500 - for a cruise where all but alcohol and specialty dining are prepaid??
