Review summary

The Norweigan Pearl is a great ship. The layout is wonderful and easy to navigate. There are many varieties of restaurants (at additional cost) and activities (some at additional cost). The staff is very friendly and helpful. You do get very tired of everytime you sit down being asked multiple times if you want to buy overpriced drinks.

The food was good, some was great. Free-style dining is the only way to go. It makes everything better not to be forced to dine with strangers or at a designated time. You definately sense they try to force you to the additional cost specialty restaurants for the "best" food.

Entertainment

The comedy groups were the best - none can top Sharkbait's shows. The other items were pretty routine - trivia, games, karaoke. This was the first cruise that the "vegas" type show was terrible. The Frankie Avalon show was like watching a bad barbershop quartet - lame jokes, terrible choreography.

Shopping area is very new and clean, not a lot of variety mostly tourist stuff. Hard Rock Cafe and Fat Tuesday restaurants. The swimming pool in the middle of the shopping district is unique and fun
