Go on the off season, book everything you want ASAP and hope for the best. My parents and brother have platinum status on Norwegian and avid cruisers overall (much more than us) and they said this was easily the worst run cruise they have been on.

Don't go with Norwegian. Unless you are in the Haven or a frequent cruiser, they constantly put everyone in front of you. This was our first time on NCL and will definitely be our last. Plus, there were constant unexpected charges. They charged for soda when you had the full alcohol plan. They charged fees if you had a drink before the ship left the port. There were a number of unexpected service fees that showed up. They nickle and dimed you the entire cruise.

Don’t bother going to shore in Cabo San Lucas unless you are a Haven passenger with NCL booked excursions. Anything else will be chaotic disappointment & no fun.

Please be careful with this cruise line. I booked a trip at the end of August for a cruise from New York to Bermuda. For me and my kids. Unfortunately I had the wrong Covid test for the kids. They turned me away. I was able to get another Covid test the same day and we were all negative. Even though they had a cruise leaving two days later they refused to rebook me. They also refused to grant credit for another trip. However, they treated themselves to the money that I paid for the trip which was $2500, no matter how much I pleaded with them to possibly give me even a credit for another cruise. They instead opted to keep the entire 2500 without accommodating, a rebooking or a credit. Please be careful with this cruise line. They will keep your money, and will not accommodate. They are cruel and greedy.

This is large ship. Can accommodate 4000 plus so be prepared for crowds everywhere. Reserve shows early and special dinning.

The ship & crew were outstanding but I’d be very careful about using NCL embarkation shuttle service going forward

When checking in at the San Pedro cruise terminal in LA, do not arrive during the first 2-3 hours. Try to arrive during the last 2-3 hours of the check-in period. We arrived at 1 pm and waited about one hour to check in, but by the time we were done, there was almost no line.

Take candied ginger with you to help with any motion sickness. The haven bar gave us some and it worked wonders
