Overall a very relaxing and enjoyable cruise. The food was very good and there were several varied options to choose from in each restaurant. The ship was very clean and updated. This was our second Norwegian Cruise and we found the staff to be a bit less friendly than the staff on the Norwegian Star. Our cabin steward was a bit aggressive and told us we were not allowed to keep the “Do Not Disturb” on our cabin because he HAS to do inventory each day. We prefer to not have our room made up each day but felt pressured to allow him access to our room. There were occasions where the “Do Not Disturb” was on and he still entered to put paperwork on our bed instead of outside the door like other cabins.

While our expectations were low given some past reviews, we thoroughly enjoyed the cruise and the ports with one exception. The ship and cabin were great however the elevator waits and crowding were off-putting. The staff was excellent, as was the food and the entertainment. Quebec City is a highlight - make time for it. It is like European cities - different culture and language (although everyone accomodates English), so much history and so many historical buildings, easy to get around on foot assuming you can handle constant up-down (hilly).

The cruise was very nice and relaxing. Most stops have excursions, but it's just as easy to get off and explore on your own.

Never again will I cruise on Norwegian Cruise Lines

Like I said we have always been ones to recommend ncl to our friends and family. We'll after this cruise we won't be recommending them anymore. I guess what we have heard since covid norwegian has a definitely gone down a level In service. Have done 2 carnivals and a msc in the last 2 years and they were both better. Going rcl in January and princess in May hoping they are very good.

By this being my first cruise, I absolutely loved it. The hospitality you will receive on board is mind-blowing. I loved every minute of it

Joy is a nice ship. Been on twice. Felt it lagged on second trip mainly to the food and just way too many children on this cruise. They were everywhere, young to middle age to teens. Took over the game shows and were just a little undisciplined while attending restaurants.

We travel in August due to families school schedules, this was the worst with children misbehaving. Blocking staircases, lying on floors by the doorways. Security wasn't a lot of help, traveling with older people made it difficult when navigating from elevators to the entrance of anything. I did go to security and guest services, not sure why the parents didn't intervene in the observation lounge jumping on the couches and running around was not fun to watch or be bumped into when walking with a cup of coffee.

This was a relaxing cruise on a great ship. I am not a new cruiser so I take most bumps in stride. There are a few issues that they need to work out in the Haven for the price you pay but overall, I would do it again.

Over one of our best sailings on the Joy. There has been much improvement all around over the last 8 months. Keep it up!

Wonderful cruise ! We would go again but want to see other places ! We had so much fun and made memories !

NCL food was above average. The entertainment had only one production show. Comedy Club was good. Did not care for Game shows as the main entertainment. No movies outdoors at night. All movies ended by 9PM or so. NCL is what it is. A nice clean ship with hard working staff. If you know what your getting up front you will be fine.

A fun getaway for a few days - but very crowded. Must get Vibe passes to really enjoy.

NCL is fun cruise Conveniently leaving from NYC. If you know what to expect you will be fine. Casino, specialty resturant, the Cavern club and staying in Bermuda for 3 1/2 days made this just fine !

The bars/lounges, the food & above all else… the staff.

The key point of this cruise for us was relaxation and Norwegian Joy provided exactly that. Could it have been improved here and there? Yes. Was it perfect? No. But we came away feeling overall that we had a fantastic time.

Getting plenty of rest, which was wonderful the room balcony was a great spot. Most of the food was pretty good. People were just outstanding and very nice service was very good as far as the crew people crew members I should say apologize of course alcohol bartenders were all great.

Took my grandson for his first cruise on NCL. After Disney cruise, he loved it. Kids love to sail. Adults love it even more. Keep on cruising.

The weather was amazing, staff was great. Wish they had a better variety of music. Biggest disappointment, no late night station to grab food (pizza, French fries, cookies). After 9;00 PM, your only option is The Local, It’s a madhouse at night, full of drunk people, long wait times and food options are limited. Don’t forget to tip your staff, they work so hard to try and keep everyone happy!
