Great cruise. Ship was only 1/3 full. Great food and service

Third time we re-booked this cruise due to Covid. It was much anticipated and we were very glad to finally get on board. We had travel issues due to weather getting to the port and ended up driving from buffalo, ny to Miami. It was not ideal, but the trip was so worth it! We had an amazing time, staff members could not have been more gracious and willing to help in any way they could.

Great time, good food worth the money. Ship was a little dated but well maintained.

NCL for the win again! Love this cruiseline - they know how to do it right. 1/3 capacity was amazing. Staff were exceptional. Wish I could have stayed on longer!

During the cruise we did a lot as for activities we never had something not to do for 11 days

This was our first cruise with NCL. Not a bad first impression, as the Joy was a newly remodeled, clean ship with a decent price (2K /3 people/ 7 days). I don’t need to see MX towns anymore, but it was the closest port to drive to that we could sail from. Crew was good, food was good, some of the fun wasn’t included, but was available. If you don’t mind MX ports, this was a good cruise.

Great trip with just a few bumps. Feel lucky to have been able to enjoy our cruise. So people have had their dream cruise cancelled now.

The Joy is a beautiful ship. We loved how it never felt very crowded. My favorite thing was the casino. I appreciated how the smoking area was contained to a room vs throughout the whole casino. The observation lounge was very nice as well. We would definitely cruise this ship again.

Overall this was just an OK cruise, the buffet food being consistantly cold was actually a big issue for me being it is really the only breakfast to have. The entertainment was really not up to par with previous Norwegian Cruises on Breakaway class ships. The staff was just rude to folks who had drinks in the hot tubs, I have never seen a guest be told they could not have a drink in the hot tub on previous cruises but be warned that this staff will scold you. I am going to be an optimest and say that this was due to the COVID-19 scare at the time and possible lack of staff...I asked the customer service rep if they were understaffed in which she seemed insulted by the question and responded that they were fully staffed.

Excursions was great met alot of great people but I will never cruise the Joy again!!! I don't think I will ever cruise with Norwegian.

In general, I felt blessed that I was able to go on this trip, although, I was apprehensive about the outcome due to corona-virus. Fortunately, everything turned out great.

Relaxing.. and what I needed. Met some great people and enjoyed some great culture before some try to put a wall up.

We had very high expectations for this trip, hoping that it would be better than our first cruise on the carnival inspiration. With how new the ship is, and all the amenities on the ship we thought it would be. But, at the end of the day we were very underwhelmed from this cruise experience, if I were to choose which cruise to do again, I would choose carnival over Norwegian unfortunately.

This was my first time sailing with NCL, and I can’t say nothing but great things. The Joy was such a beautiful ship and I gotta say I think this is my favorite cruise I’ve done in the 9 cruises I’ve been on. Norwegian offers such a great product. The food is delicious (especially Teppanyaki probably my favorite of the speciality dining we did), the ship is very clean, modern, and offers great amenities. Crew was friendly as well, and they were always going around making sure everyone sanitized their hands at the buffet and when boarding the ship after a day in port-really appreciate that! I highly recommend the Joy and I’m sure her sisters are equally as great too. I was very impressed and I’m glad I finally decided to give NCL a try. I don’t think I will be cruising other cruise lines after this because I simply fell in love and found the perfect cruise line for me! Highly recommend! Very happy NCL is sending us their best ships to the West Coast!

The Atrium set up is horrible. You can't hear when trying to talk with guest services or cruise next. It's just way too loud in that room.

First time with NCL, don’t think I will cruise with them again. Disappointed with the quality of the food and the service in most of the restaurants. Did like the reservation system they used. Very easy and simple. I did love the Observatory Lounge and the entertainment. Really disappointed with the cleanliness of the restrooms, especially after the Joy had returned twice in the month or so before will issues of possible illnesses. I saw it on the news. Maybe if I did a bit more research and paid more for a higher level cabin my experience might have been better.

Cruising is always fun but sometimes the ship is too big.

Overall, a great time! We enjoyed the Joy and would sail on her again. Try everything, there really is something for everyone!!
