Review summary

Third time we re-booked this cruise due to Covid. It was much anticipated and we were very glad to finally get on board. We had travel issues due to weather getting to the port and ended up driving from buffalo, ny to Miami. It was not ideal, but the trip was so worth it! We had an amazing time, staff members could not have been more gracious and willing to help in any way they could.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
10:30- 11:00 port arrival window. Did not have to wait for Covid test, walked right in. Waited our 15 minutes for results and then went right to check in window. Completed in 5 minutes, got embarkation photo and waited about 15-20 minutes for group 7 to be called to board. Ample seating and water available in terminal building.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
2 specialty dinners- Cagney’s and La Cucina. Both amazing food great service. Ate breakfast and dinner other days in buffet and main dining rooms. Food choices adequate with good variety. Service always good, but not quite as efficient as specialty.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Main pool very nice with sitting area around edges. Putt-putt was enjoyable for a quick free activity. Go-carts, laser tag and galaxy pavilion all cost extra. Go-carts were fun, impeded at times by others who did not know how to drive and blocked course. Issues with laser tag running late and having to re-boot multiple times. Staff very apologetic and had fun. Galaxy pavilion was fun for the kids… staff were amazing and very helpful.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Footloose and Elements were both very good, fun to watch. Arvin and Emily were good, listened to them many nights in different venues. Music by the pool with the dj provided a relaxing atmosphere.

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
Teen daughter was very pleased with Entourage and their activities. 12 year old, almost 13 year, son felt very left out. He was comped a free day at galaxy pavilion. But we still feel families should have been compensated for kids club being closed, or some organized activities provided for the younger kids.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All staff were amazing, not one complaint.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Easy to navigate with the fish on the carpets swimming toward to front of the ship in the hallways. Once we figured out the layout, had no issues. All areas constantly being cleaned.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
11535-2 bedroom family suite with virtual balcony. Amazing size and space for the 4 of us. Kids enjoyed the bunk beds and their own bathroom. Living room space plenty large to relax and unpack.

Ports of call

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

5 out of 5
Port under construction, so some things unfinished. Discover Scuba excursion booked thru NCL. Very through with educating us on the equipment, patient with each of us learning how to use it. 45 minute dive was enjoyable.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

4 out of 5
Just walked off and shopped in the port area. Nice small shopping center, easy to walk. Pool area available in port area with many chairs and swim up bar. Did not use, but looked beautiful.

Harvest Caye, Belize

5 out of 5
Spent the morning on the beach, sand was a little rough. But we wore water shoes and had no issues. Plentiful lounge chairs with umbrellas.

Miami, Florida

4 out of 5
Traffic and construction very congested. Otherwise fine.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Had priority disembarkation since we were in a 2 bedroom family suite, ate breakfast and walked off. Waited about 15 minutes in the immigration lane.
