Review summary

We were so pleased with the entertainment on this cruise. It is the top priority for us when cruising.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
As always, we were too anxious to get onboard to be patient with the wait.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We ate in them all and they were all good. La Cucina and Cagney's were excellent.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We didn't take part in many activities but we enjoyed mini golf and The Waterfront.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Beatles Revolution, Silent Scream were so good that we scheduled several shows of theirs. Hypnotist Doug MacCraw, ventriloquist Phil Hughes, comedian Jim McDonald, and juggler Dan Bennett were great favorites. But other stage shows, music groups, and comedians were entertaining too. A method of attending our favorites without having to claim a seat 45 minutes before the show would have been helpful. Hayden Smith was annoying.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Exactly what we needed when we needed it.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
We chose this ship for The Waterfront but more lounging should be provided. Everything seemed clean and we appreciated the efforts to maintain sanitary conditions when coronavirus was becoming a concern.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Comfortable for 2, seemed clean, liked having coffee maker in the room. We brought extra hangers because we know from past experience that we never have enough.

Ship tip

Visit box office immediately to try to get reserved tickets to shows.

Ports of call

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

5 out of 5
Whale watching was better than expected which is always a happy outcome.

Mazatlan, Mexico

4 out of 5
Walking tour was not as interesting as expected. We were given a lot of free time rather than a lot of information.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

4 out of 5
Good option for taxi to Malecon. Sat at table for refreshment with feet in the sand.

Acapulco, Mexico

3 out of 5
Not much to do or see close enough to walk.

Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala

4 out of 5
Pretty park-like area near the ship.

Puerto Caldera, Costa Rica

5 out of 5
Forest walking in the rain forest was great.

Panama Canal Transit

5 out of 5
Really liked watching the process from the cafeteria

Cartagena, Colombia

4 out of 5
Approaching port with only flat jungle apparent until huge white skyscrapers appear in the distance. Very interesting visually. Street vendors were too persistent.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
It was chaotic but it always seems to be that way.
