Norwegian Joy

16 Night Panama Canal (Los Angeles To Miami)

Sail date: January 17, 2020

Ship: Norwegian Joy

Traveled as: Couple

Review summary

Ports were great. Ship was not. Food was fair. Service was poor. Another GI issue so we weren’t able to access any food related items for ourselves. Didn’t have sensors on the door so everyone was touching the buttons to open them. People were getting stuck in the slide. Had to pay for some of the activities. No lobster dinner. Had to ask for toiletries. Won’t do Norwegian again.

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
Not much to do

Entertainment

2 out of 5
Comedian and Footloose were great. But that was for two nights then not much else.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Waiters were very slow and often didn’t bring part of your order.

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
At least three times recently having a virus on board.

Cabin / Stateroom

1 out of 5
Room was much smaller than staterooms on other cruise lines. No loveseat and extremely small closet space.

Ship tip

Don’t

Thanks for sharing your cruise

Sorry you had a bad time, however if a bit of research had been done you would have known these things.. NCL has no lobster night, you can however purchase it in Ocean Blue. How would you not know there was no loveseat if you looked at the floorplan. As far as self service food... germs everywhere, KUDOS Ncl for trying to control this.

If there's a GI issue I'd be glad they weren't letting people serve themselves. Have you heard about the Coronavirus?! NCL has issued a fleet wide ban on self serve, they're doing the responsible thing. Bring your own toiletries, that's not the cruise ships responsibility. When you book your room, look at the layout, size, etc., again not the cruise ships responsibility. Please go elsewhere, don't need your negative attitude mucking up my good vibes!
