Review summary

Overall we liked this cruise very much. Too much time was spent on the ship though. Felt like all they wanted us to do was spend more money. Would have liked more time time at each stop. Would also liked to have known that the bar tenders do not recieve a share of the overall tip. Did not know this till the last day and felt bad about not tipping them.

Embarkation

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was very good. The only thing we thought was strange, all 3 restaurants served the same food (Taste, Savor, Manhattan). Why bother having 3 different names if they serve the exact same food.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Race track at sea, so fun, but at extra cost. Laser tag okay, and once again an extra cost. Too cold to do pool.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Footloose and Element show were very good and no additional cost. Comedy Club was very funny, no cost.

Children's Programs

No Children with us.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward made a point of introducing himself to us on the first day. He checked up on us often to see if we needed anything. He also addressed us by name. We were very impressed.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Very clean and well-maintained. We had no problem with the elavators. Very little wait time.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Did not like the thermostat in our room. Only showed hotter or colder, no temperature. We could never get it right.

Ship tip

Pay close attention to cost. Not everything on board is free.

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington

5 out of 5
We came in a day early and did the Yonder sky wine and falls tour. Loved it. Also stayed a day latter so that we did not miss our flight.

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
Did the whale watch and salmon bake. Loved the whale watch. Salmon bake was good food, but too dark to see anything around it.

Skagway, Alaska

5 out of 5
Did the Kroschel Wildlife Refuge. So much fun. Then shopped at the stores in Skagway. Don't bother with the shuttle for $5. Very small town. Easy walking distance.

Cruise Glacier Bay

5 out of 5
Only spent 2 hours here. Not enough time. Would have liked to see more.

Ketchikan, Alaska

5 out of 5
Rainforest Santuary was boring. Did not see any animals. Waist of money. Lumberjack show was very good. Did not get to look around town at all. Had to rush back to the ship after Lumberjack show. Not enough time at this stop.

Victoria, British Columbia

3 out of 5
Got here late at night, already dark. Everything was closed. Long walk to anything. Waist of time to even get off the boat.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
No problem.

For more time in ports, take a one-way cruise to / from Vancouver to Alaska. The Roundtrip itineraries from Seattle have short port times so they can get back to Seattle and also make the required stop at Victoria to comply with the Jones Act.
