I enjoyed the trip to Alaska and had a good time on the ship but I prefer the Norwegian Bliss because it is managed better than Joy.
Very fast and simple
Food and Dining
Overall there was a lot of food. Some restaurants were excellent like La Bistro and Cagney's Steakhouse but some others were not well managed.
Q Texas Smokehouse
Excellent restaurant with good choice of tasty food
Le Bistro French Restaurant
The best restaurant on Norwegian Joy by far
Maybe the cold weather prevented me from using most of them
Shows were great and there were a good choice of performers
I'm 61 and traveled alone
Service and Staff
There were many excellent people but not all the staff did their job as expected
Ship just come from reconstruction and was clean
Cabin / Stateroom
Cabin was big, clean and comfortable. Everything worked well.
Good ship but be prepare to spend time waiting for service
Ports Of Call
I just walked around the city the day before and day after cruise.
Good shopping and many attractions. I went to crabs - boat excursion and good restaurant.
Nice city. I went to historical gold mines and found some gold.
SCENIC GLACIER CRUISING
Not a port but fabulous nature
Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska
Nothing to do in port but a wide selection of excursions. We saw a lot of whales but no beers.
Victoria, British Columbia
Beautiful calm city with good food.
