Review summary

I would not have gone on Norwegian Joy if I had it to do over again. Sorry but not pleased with trip. This was my first cruise and I’m very disappointed. I would not go again.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
It went semi smooth.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food was good but not the quality I was expecting.

Observation Lounge

5 out of 5

Best free venue on the ship.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Shows were very good. I was upset having to pay extra for activities like the go carts $15 for 8 laps. I felt this kind og activity should have been included.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
All the shows were very good. Several were booked out.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff were great. Way above what was expected.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The layout was good but required miles of walking to do anything. Of course the ship was clean. Its just out from being overhalled.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Very clean and adequate room size. A lot of vibration was annoying.

Ship tip

I’m sorry to have to say it was one of the most unorganized trips from a professional travel company.

Ports of call

Juneau, Alaska

4 out of 5
The port call was very nice except for the weather. (Rain)

Skagway, Alaska

4 out of 5
Nice but rain again.

Cruise Glacier Bay

Beautiful !

Ketchikan, Alaska

5 out of 5
Great port. First day of sunshine for the entire trip.

Victoria, British Columbia

Too short. Tour time changed. No notification. Missed going on tour.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
The only organized part of the entire trip.

One cruise and tore the ship apart. Not sure what you were expecting. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, sorry you had a miserable cruise. Maybe they aren't for you or maybe you should look into crystal cruise lines, Paul Gauguin or others that are expensive but it sounds like the service you are looking for. Nobody likes paying for vacations and are miserable on them. Dont give up too soon!! Next one may be amazing for you.

Don’t let it turn you off cruising, ships with less than 2000 guests are really nice.
