Review summary

I am thinking seriously about looking into trying another cruise line next. The last four have been Norwegian and it seems to be going downhill. I also hate the way we are charged the gratuities and they do not go to the people we intend to have them. I also do not understand why we are charged some set gratuities on drinks when we could be charged the correct amount. I bet I had 10 or less drinks yet paid well over $100 of gratuities on them. Talk about unjust gains on the part of Norwegian. What is even worse, the bartenders & wait staff do not get the tips. Wrong!!!!

Embarkation

4 out of 5
All went well boarding the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
The food quality was terrible, from the buffet to the fine dining and specialty restaurants. We did have one complete good meal at the French Restaurant.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
There was not much activity available outdoors due to the weather.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We enjoyed the Comedy and Circus Shows.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
The service staff were quite friendly and they tried to please. It is wrong to charge us for the gratuities and not give them to those that they are intended.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Overall the ship was clean. There were obvious signs of wear and tear though. I must say this was one of the smaller ships I have been on and do not think I am a fan.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
The only complaint I have is that as a gold member we were to have two bottles of water in our room. Not knowing any better, we drank one of the two bottles only to be informed that those were for sale and not 'ours'. I think they finally gave us our water 5-6 days into the cruise.
