Food was nothing like advertised. The food said it was one thing and it was the furthest thing from it! For example "Meat Loaf" was a role of Bologna.

Not much to do with some of the port but my husband and I always makes the best of it.

The cruise was overall a great time, the ports were fantastic. I was very disappointed in the quality of the food. Very surprised that it was low quality since most cruises people rave about the food.

This was an amazing experience. The fjords are very scenic, although the towns are generally very small so don'texpect to do much sightseeing or shopping in those. However, do go kayaking in Geiranger (most sheltered and scenic of all the places to do it) and consider the rib ride in Alesund if you're adventurous (don't do a rib ride in an actual fjord because you don't experience the speed). If you don't have a balcony, it's worth getting a spa pass, because this looks out over the bow of the ship and gives you great views while a) being away from the crowds on the pool deck, b) in the warm, and c) with access to a hot tub and sauna at the same time as the views (and special drinks etc). I ate in Le Bistro, La Cucina, Jasmine Garden, Sushi Bar, O'Sheehans and Grand Pacific. They were all okay, but La Cucina was the least enjoyable experience due to being oddly laid out. The sushi bar was surprisingly excellent, and not very expensive. O'Sheehans was very convenient from my cabin - only one deck down and a short corridor away, and it was rarely busy. The staff were all welcoming and quickly learned your name, which was quite amazing given that the cruise was sold out.

I chose this cruise because I have always wanted to see the fjords, hear all about the vikings, and of course trolls. I was not disappointed. The cruises I chose via NCL were informative, fun, and I got to see everything I wanted to see and more. We were very lucky with the weather, we saw no rain at all and that is very unusual especially for Bergen. Dress in layers, and choose the month of August for the best chance of good weather.

Just came off a short trip on the Jade and what can I say, could not fault anything. Crew were so friendly and happy to help with anything. Food was amazing and has so much choice. There was a good variety of entertainment onboard. Was in cabin 8064 which was above the bliss lounge and I was concerned it might be a little noisy but could not hear a thing. Will happily book NCL again and will more that be traveling on them next year.

Hi Ladies. I just want to let you know that you should be very careful as there is a scam here that ask you for shipmate and then tells you story about send you some box with his money and valuables to keep it safe and then he want to know your address and everything. BE CAREFUL!!!

The Jade is a great ship with something for everyone to have a good time.

This was our first NCL cruise; but, it will not be our last. We have cruised with Celebrity, Holland America, and Princess. NCL is the most comfortable. This is largely due to the fact that things on the ship (e.g., freestyle dining) really worked as advertised! We had virtually no lines or wait at any eating venue. There were some minor problems in our cabin (e.g., no lock on the safe). They were addressed in a prompt and professional manner.

The cruise on board was brilliant and worth the money and time spent, however the cruise left us with a bad taste in our mouth as we had spent a lot on pre-booked excursions and all but 1 left us disasapointed or angry. NCL .. get your act together on the excursions as they let you down or we wont us you again.

This was our first cruise. We were pleasantly surprised with absolutely everything. Our stateroom was much bigger than expected. Food was good

Fantastic time. Definitely would do again with a few minor changes to tours. Keep a good attitude-your on vacation. You’ll run into stupid inconsiderate people anywhere... but hey - have fun and don’t sweat the small stuff!!!

Food in both dinning rooms was cold. Service in the main dinning rooms was slow, did not get order right, did not get the order for table at the same time. Getting of the ship with tender tickets was absolutely a complete joke. The ship lack of communication for getting off at each port showed that if you did not spend money on their exercising. They did not care about you as a customer.

11018 is a two-bedroom "penthouse" - this one was named the Sapphire Penthouse and came with butler, canapes, a fruit basket and champagne. Yes, champagne, not sparkling wine. This is two years in a row I have taken this short hop across The Channel. The ship was great; the crew great; the NCL experience great as usual. The only downside: on the crossing both years, it is much too windy and much too chilly to run around in swim outfits, even on the sunniest day. But, if we're talking about the ship, the Jade is a great experience. For the MDRs, both are fine. As part of the penthouse/Haven crew, exclusive breakfast was in The Moderno and, though the buffet is attractive, the choices are not the same. I would probably opt for the MDR on a longer cruise. The Moderno seemed a bit "close quarters." Lunch was in Cagneys and was a great experience with the same attentive waiters as were in The Moderno at breakfast.

We had 3 Platinum and one Platinum PLUS member in our party. This loyalty was not rewarded in any substantial way on board. Some benefits missing, and some less than expected. Compare the free Unlimited Dining Package available to anyone to the complimentary dinners given Platinum members who have shown loyalty to NCL. The UDP freebie is worth more in dining room value than the one given to loyal members. In our opinion NCL is starting to nickel and dime cruisers by increasing some fees and charging for what used to be free like the iConcerige messenger app. Ship was great, ports were great, many employees were friendly, so enjoy what you can.

This was our first cruise and we were anxious because of the length, 9 days. All went well and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Would, and probably will, do it again in a heartbeat.

Cabin was disappointing and the food and service was not up to previous standards.

The Jade is a smaller ship but nice sized. I would say the food in the dining room was rated a 6 on a 10 scale. Most of the excursions you have to travel by bus to- at least an hr away. All in all a fun cruise.

Loved the jade , excursions, not so much. Too much time on the buses getting to and from places. Not enough free time. Very expensive.

I chose this cruise for the itinerary and was happy with it. It would have been nice to have presentations on sea days about the upcoming ports. I did research each port but would like maps of the ports ahead of time to plan the walking area around the ports. The food was too spicy, but there was enough variety to choose things without sauces. The staff is always great. I like excursions that are overviews of the port being visited, although I did choose Falkirk for one port. Cabin bathrooms are always tight; glad I'm not bigger.
