Review summary
11018 is a two-bedroom "penthouse" - this one was named the Sapphire Penthouse and came with butler, canapes, a fruit basket and champagne. Yes, champagne, not sparkling wine. This is two years in a row I have taken this short hop across The Channel. The ship was great; the crew great; the NCL experience great as usual. The only downside: on the crossing both years, it is much too windy and much too chilly to run around in swim outfits, even on the sunniest day. But, if we're talking about the ship, the Jade is a great experience. For the MDRs, both are fine. As part of the penthouse/Haven crew, exclusive breakfast was in The Moderno and, though the buffet is attractive, the choices are not the same. I would probably opt for the MDR on a longer cruise. The Moderno seemed a bit "close quarters." Lunch was in Cagneys and was a great experience with the same attentive waiters as were in The Moderno at breakfast.Embarkation
