Fantastic time. Definitely would do again with a few minor changes to tours. Keep a good attitude-your on vacation. You’ll run into stupid inconsiderate people anywhere... but hey - have fun and don’t sweat the small stuff!!!
Embarkation

Simple, easy. There’s always a line but it wasn’t too long a wait. Luggage exchange was simple and even going out of Germany - no language barrier.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

We are at Cagnies, La Cucina, Le Bistro. They were all great. We found Cagnies to be the best choice for us.
Onboard Activities

Gym was adequate- but if you are a serious experienced exerciser, you’ll hate it. People that think they know what they are doing mess everyone else up. There is such a thing as “Gym Edicate”. If you don’t know what that is - you’re one of those people that mess up other people’s training. You can’t hog equipment, or one certain are. You share- do your business and move on. Then wait your turn for your next set. Just plain conmen gym respect.
Entertainment

Some was good and some shows were fantastic. It’s more about individual taste. The cirque du soleil themed show was outstanding!
Children's Programs
People- there should be a common courtesy contract one signs going on a cruise. 1. When getting on or off the elevator you let the people OFF the lift FIRST- then you can get on. 2. You are not the only person on the ship - so don’t be an ass. 3. There’s PLENTY of food... get another plate. You don’t need to pile your plate so your food is falling off. 3. Excuse me goes a long way when you bump into someone.

It’s a smaller ship if Norweigen. It was clean and if an area was being used more it was always cleaned and on point by the next rush.
Cabin / Stateroom

Great cabin. Of course bathrooms are challenging but it did the job!
Ship tip
If you are cruising first time in Europe from the states...it’s very easy and no language barriers. I found the American tourists on board to be very polite and thoughtful. I can’t say as much for others. Staff went out of their way to make everyone happy. Some people just can’t be pleased. Also, if you can afford, bring $1’s. It’s ok to tip a dollar for a drink. That’s money strait in their pocket. In the European cruises no one tips so you could see how happy they were for something so little.
Port was clean and baggage handled efficiently. If you’re taking a cab after your cruise, be prepared for a very very long wait. Sit back relax and wait your turn.
We just walked around. We took the trolly to Fjellstua view. It’s a must. But we just bought the ticke on the trolly train right off the ship. Well worth it. Only like (conversion) 15$ each.
Flam Railway is a must. You have to buy through the ship early because they sell out fast and although you can buy off the ship - they were sold out a a lot of people couldn’t go. That was an excursion you definitely need to splurge.
