Enjoyable 11 day cruise, not especially memorable save for the Panama Canal partial transit.

Excellent cruise loved every minute of it. Can't wait to cruise with NCL again

Fair warning, check the deck plans BEFORE you book. We never imagined a cruiseline would design a ship is such a way as to have the fitness center directly above rooms, especially a penthouse suite. Needless to say we haven't spent a single night sleeping before 11pm and after 6am. I can't imagine we are the first to make this complaint. There is NO sound buffer.

Overall the Cruise was good. The cruise staff was not remotely as efficient was other NCL cruises. Captain did not communicate as effective as needed when a port was skipped. Food was average.

I've read a lot about the history of the canal and just before leaving I watched a youtube documentary on the construction of the canal. Standing on the deck watching the gates open to the first lock was probably the most exciting thing I've done on a cruise ship. While we were approaching the gate we were given detailed descriptions of everything that was going on and had to happen for the ship to go through. Truly fascinating. I found the cruise to be extremely fun, mainly due to the Cruise Director. The activities, especially the games and contests were very entertaining. The ship was full and the pool area was always crowded, especially on sea days. I had purchased the thermal suite pass which was calm, quiet and well worth the money. The entertainment, however, was lacking. The DJ was great and the Juggler was good. The other entertainers were mediocre at best. Also disappointing was the holiday decor. I have previously sailed with Royal Caribbean over the holidays and the ship was beautiful and festive. I was expecting the same thing from NCL but I've seen better Christmas decorations in a church basement. Decorations were a minor quibble though, overall I thoroughly enjoyed this cruise and am looking forward to cruising with NCL again.

The activities were the best of any cruise we've done so far. Vincent's staff were fantastic. If you were bored on this cruise, it's your own fault. Ship was clean. I would have like to see more color in Christmas decorations. Did was excellent. Tempanyaki was out favorite but enjoyed Cagney's and LA Cuchina also. Buffet was best for breakfast. Main dining was a little slow at first but excellent service overall.

Problem filled from mechanical failure delaying the cruise and causing us to miss a port. Less than stellar service and food. Service not up to cruise standards. But some great ports.

Overall, it was a wonderful cruise. The only part we didn't rate highly was disembarkation. Despite the ship leaving a day late, NCL made up for it fairly. We would sail on the Jade again.

nice cruise....I would not advise getting off the ship in Port Limon until they actually finish building around it. Literally a fenced in walk to a mostly vacant block of buildings. A few rough patches with food service in the main dining room and one specialty restaurant.

We boarded this ship after the previous cruise was canx in Puerto Rico. The food was delicious. I think the Garden cafes lunch buffet was better than dinner. Breakfast was good as well. Quite a variety of food. Ate at 4 specialty restaurants: LeBistro, La Cucina, Moderno and Cagneys. All were good. But, I especially liked Cagneys. Steak was like butter. Alizar, Jasmine, O'Shehans and Grand Pacifics food wss also exceptional. Cruise Director Vincent and his staff are the best! Lots of info provided, lots of games, music, shows provided. Crew members were very friendly and professional. We stayed in Miami an extra day and missed Cartagena due to the mechanical issues. They were charging us the port and other taxes. After a few complaints, NCL decided to eat that cost for everyone on board. Very good Panama Canal Cruise. The Jade was clean, staff very nice, food outstanding. Thanks NCL.

This was my longest cruise to date, 11 days, and has me thinking that longer is better.. I was more relaxed than ever. There was lots to do, and fun was had. The food was great, and the thermal suite was amazing, and a great investment.

Excellent 11 day cruise ! Loved the ship and staff was great. Vincent the Cruise Director was awesome! Would do this again. Great relaxing cruise. Met some great people as well.

The Jade was a great ship. Clean and Fun. Cruise Director Vincent - the best! The Captain was awesome, the Staff was awesome. I would go on the Jade again! Had a great 11 day cruise!

One day cruise, one port of call. A weekend vacation versus a week and a half one. We could not re-organize our trip

Was on the cruise that was cancelled while in San Juan. NCL made the most of a bad situation. Let us stay on board through day 5 and provided us with transportation home as well as reimbursement for this cruise and credit for an equal cruise. The food was good. The ship was in great shape (baring the mechanical problem), the staff was great and the drinks plentiful. Spent extra time in San Juan. Overall everything worked out well for us although I know it caused great hardships for some.

Unfortunately the whole thing was wash. Our ship broke down in our first port of Puerto Rico and we were flown back to Miami after 2 days of chaos waiting to disembark the ship. Very disappointing to say the very least.

Had a nice time for the short period we were on the ship. Left Miami and had 2 days to San Juan. Unlimited drink package, specialty dining.... Football games Saturday and Sunday. Then after San Juan getting ready to head to St Thomas they came over the intercom and said the cruise was cancelled. Ship has problems and needs a few days of maintenance. We have to get off and make our way back to Miami. They let us stay on the boat all day Monday, a few people made plans and got off. Tuesday they got charter flights arranged and started putting people on busses back to the airport. We looked up hotels in the Islands and took a short flight to St Croix, finishing out the week there. I think it actually turned out better this way. We are getting reimbursed for flights, we get our money back for the cruise, we got 4 days of free booze and food and they will give us a credit on our next cruise equal to what we spent on this one. So I have a free cruise coming! Way to go Norwegian, that wasn't so bad after all.

Why bother beating a dead ship? The Jade became a beached whale in San Juan, PR.

While the cruise was cancelled early, we'll rebook on another cruise - same ship and itenarary.

Wish we could have left on time and visited Colombia as a POC. but due to mechanical problems for previous cruise we did not leave until Tuesday and had to miss Colombia. but other than that cruise was very good.
