Review summary

Awesome cruise, excellent service. My one concern was the service charge fee - while I certainly want to provide gratuities for services rendered I felt forced to provide a 20% gratuities - not all my services β€œearned” 20%. Was disappointed to find out there was additional gratuities for all services once onboard.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food was excellent - we purchased the special dining package and was very pleased with the restaurants on the ship. Drink prices were extremely expensive, additionally the required 20% gratuity in addition to the service charges we paid was excessive

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Pool was crowded, fitness room was nice - did not care for the excessive cost for the exercise classes (also included 20% gratuity charge)

Very impressed with the cleanliness of the ship

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin 11588 - size was unexpectedly pleasant, we had 3 people (2 adults 1 teenager) in the room with no issues. Bathroom was very spacious. Randall Ramirez was our steward and he did an exceptional job of assisting us all week - excellent employee!!

Ship tip

Make sure you understand the service charges you have to pay and that NCL adds additional 20% gratuities to each and every service they provide (food, purchases, classes, etc.)

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
NCL process for disembarkation was very good. The port however, was not conducive to a large number of people disembarking. It was extremely crowded, difficult to maneuver with your luggage and nearly impossible to find your transport with all the people. Once you found your transporter the walk to the car was extremely long.
