Getting off the ship, for ship bought excursions, is very poor and unorganized. Prepare to wait or be part of the shoving match getting down the stairs.

Don't rely on internet on the ship, nor the communication tool. The info was everywhere - the best source is the daily news/sheet that came in every evening. The planner on TV could have been more useful if it could be linked to the mobile apps.

Go on this ship in sunny weather. Go on this ship when you are on a cruise where you can take advantage of the amenities - pool, rock climbing wall, slide, hot tubs, all of the things that cannot be enjoyed in 50 degree weather. This is a ship for the Caribbean -- not a European Capitals cruise.

If you are a techie bring an additional outlet. I took an outlet that plugged into the wall that can charge 4 devices at once. A power strip was too long the 4-way outlet is more compact.

Know that there is an addition charge for most restaurants. Had a few complimentary restaurants, and the food there was always good. Never saw lobster at the complimentary restaurants.

Weigh the pros and cons of embarking/disembarking from Copenhagen vs. Warnemunde. I'm glad we decided to embark from Warnemende, although it was a little weird being off a day in activities from most of the other people on the ship (most embark from Copenhagen). We got to spend more time in Germany this way and avoid spending 6 hours on the train to/from Berlin on the same day. Far fewer people embarking in Germany and no lines to wait in. In Copenhagen it looked like a different story. The only other thing I would add about embarking from Germany is you will be completely on your own to arrange hotels and travel arrangements from Berlin to Warnemunde. This was not a problem for us, but could be for those who want everything taken care of in a one-stop-shop sort of way or who are not as adventurous. It's a good idea to read up on the German train system before going if you're not already familiar with it. You will have to make a connection to get from Berlin to Warnemunde.

Spend the money for the haven. You'll avoid the large groups of drunk people, you have priority when boarding, diembarking at the end, and for some shows!
