We had a great time. The food and shows were excellent especially the Million dollar Quartet show. The ships staff were very friendly whether they met you on deck, in the eating areas or in the hallways. Our cabin steward kept our room clean and neat and we enjoyed the towel animals every evening. We enjoyed bingo as the announcers kept it lively and moving. The casino staff were very helpful. Norweign trained their staff very well.

NCL has issues as they all do. We had a great time but our next cruise will probably be with RCL or Celebrity. Loved how at the port we had cold drinks, scented wet cloths and beach towel exchange. Prefer a set time and same waiter in MDR.

I really enjoyed the cruise because I love cruising, but would have rather paid a little more and not had all the little gratuitie charges, I'm a Diamond member on Royal and when I buy a alcohol package, gratuities are included, I think Norwegian needs to do this as well, because of these fees I probably won't do another Norwegian cruise. I also can go to the Diamond club house and get free drinks. It doesn't matter weither you get a free drink package include gratuities and more people like me would choose Norwegian.

Enjoyed the cruise. Loved the stage shows and the specialty dining. Was unhappy that just because my friend and I were sharing a cabin, we did not receive all of the complimentary specialty dining vouchers we were entitled to if we had been in individual cabins. We are both Platinum members and feel one of us was being penalized for being loyal to Norwegian. Had business decision!!!

I've said it several times in this review - upgrade to the Haven. It made the trip what it was. Great ship overall but the VIP treatment is the only way to travel.

This was my 8 cruise, third with Norwegian and second with Norwegian Getaway. The Food, entertainment and Music were outstanding. Very professional staff, make sure you spend the time to know each one of your attendant, they are very friendly and will appreciate your interest in knowing then.

Guest services had trouble speaking English. You could not use on board credits for gratuities. This was never explained so Norwegian ended up with my unspent on board credits. I would not recommend Norwegian. The activities were hard to figure out and they wanted to charge you for everything. Royal Caribbean is way better and fairer.

People seem to love Transatlantic cruises, judging from how many were on our cruise critic message board and who showed up at the meet & greet. I would only take another TA if it were on a smaller ship. The spa and Haven privileges that came with the room gave us some of the peace and quiet we needed. That was the one saving grace. NCL has lost a step in service from the last time we cruised with them, whether that is a result of the extra people on board remains to be seen. They seemed overwhelmed at times.

All in all, it was a great trip. Originally, this itinerary was serviced by a smaller ship, but that was changed in the spring of this year. Since I wanted to see these ports, I had no choice but to book on the Getaway. Not a good choice for an itinerary like this. This was also a repositioning cruise, which, thankfully, we did not choose to continue on. Too many days at sea. With the ship this crowded, I can only imagine it would be a nightmare on a 7 day crossing of the Atlantic Ocean.

The Baltics cruise needs to be everyones bucket list, there is so much to experience. Our cruiseship (NCL Getaway) was actually the last major cruise ship in the Baltics, this had a great benefit of small crowds everywhere we went. The penalty is the time of year, mid October.. The weather is cool and rainy... a cost I am willing to pay for this tremendous cruise.

The logistics of the shore excursions needs some work. Many times we felt like sardines in a can because they told the people for 5 to 8 busses to leave the meeting at the same time. Going down the stairs for three or four flights packed tightly should have been remedied. One to two busses at a time to disembark is plenty. Also in Stockholm, we took the tour, Stockholm by land and sea. When we got to the riverboat, they should have had two boats. They packed two busses worth of people on to one tour boat. Many people could not take pictures and had to stand. They also said their would be bathrooms, which most needed after 2 1/2 hours of waiting and riding a bus. When we got on the tour boat, there was one bathroom for over 100 people. Very poor organization fora pricey tour.

We loved the cruise and would recommend this to anyone. The history was marvelous as well as the excursions. To visit these wonderful cities is a real treat as they are ones we would not visit on a regular short vacation.

Absolutely wonderful!!!! We have been on 20+ cruises with various cruise lines, but this was one of the best as far as food and excursions are concerned. We really enjoy the NCL casual attire guidelines.

I certainly enjoyed my cruise on the Getaway. This was my first on Norwegian, I liked the dinning options and the ability to eat late. The staff and service on this cruise was the best I have encountered on any cruise I have done in the past. The only issue I have with the cruise is some of the nickel dime charges Norwegian does to it's guest, they should reevaluate that approach.

The cruise was great overall. The Russian Ballet was NOT GOOD AT ALL! Staff blamed us (the customers) for not asking if it was anything but a high school ballet production for $135!!! WHAT!? Other than the customer service staff at the main lobby desk, this cruise was great. The high ropes course was amazing. The spa was lovely. The gym was very clean and easy to use. The ship was large and fairly easy to get around. Very good trip overall -- but staff did leave a lot to be desired.

My wife and I will sail with NCL again. Overall positive experience. Helsinki was not worth the money spent on the excursion. .........................

Great ship - clean, well designed. Embarkation/debarkation was a breeze. All service personnel on the ship were friendly and efficient. You won't regret sailing on the Getaway. Love NCL!

Nice cruise experience around Nordics with St. Petersburg and Tallin as highlights - a must go! The ship is clean and comfortable with excellent staff. The ares to improve on - the internet access, communication tool among a group on the ship and information source on the ship. Overall wonderful experience for a relaxing holiday with kids.

Good cruise overall. If you book a non-cruise-ship tour of St. Petersburg, as we did, make sure you get off the ship at least one hour before your tour is scheduled to start in order to get through Russian immigration. The cruise lines mislead passengers who do not book their tours through them, so that they can get the ship tour groups at the head of the immigration line. I asked the ship personnel when I should get off the ship in order to make an 8:30 am tour and was told to get off at 8:00 am. At that point I was at the back of a one-hour queue, and barely made the tour. The ship cannot refuse disembarkation once the ship has been cleared. (No announcement was made when the ship was cleared.)
