Great times, met many people all over the world. Staff was friendly, overall was a good experience

We were a group of 24, of all ages (11to 70), and there was something to for everyone.

Western Caribbean is not my favorite itinerary, but due to the hurricanes last year, we were switched from Eastern to Western Caribbean. I find at the ports, minus in Belize, (NCL Island) the locals are very aggressive in trying to get your business or sell you something. We found during this trip, a no thank you was simply not enough. We had to be almost rude/aggressive in our "no's" after multiple times. Despite that, we really enjoyed the trip. The ship is fantastic and the crew is amazing, so very hard working!

I would NOT recommend the Getaway or Norwegian. I have cruised on Carnival, Royal Caribbean and they are superior by far as food, entertainment and not to mention the pools and music are much more relaxing....sad to write this review but don't spend your hard earned money like I did

I was a little nervous about going to Mexico but all of my fears were unwarranted. We had a beautiful trip and made amazing memories with our family. On this trip we went swimming with the dolphins, played with wild monkeys and got to hold some pretty amazing and colorful birds. We walked the ports and did some great shopping. The beaches were beautiful, clean and very relaxing. The water park was awesome - it was like our own private park. Seemed like we were the only ship there that day. There was never a long line for any ride. The staff on the ship was lovely and we cant wait to cruise with NCL again! We opted for the 3 nights of specialty dining - we choose the sea food, the steak and the hibachi grill - which was the BEST! NCL no longer serves drinks with a straw. If you are like me and like to sip - bring a box of paper straws or you can purchase a stainless steel straw in the gift shop.

This was an amazing trip for my whole family. I was happy to see that the kids never asked for their phones! I was sad that it had to end but look forward to the next cruise with NCL!

Ship is beautiful Staff was extremely helpful ,friendly ,and And warm

The ship was the best I've ever been on. The overall service was terrible. The 1st night we ate in Savor and ended up leaving before we ate. The server was rude and acted like we were bothering her. Someone from Taste apologized and seated us in there. Jay, our server at Taste was exceptional and so was I Gede Wirawan, our server in La Cucina, the Italian restaurant. This meal was by far the best we had. The food in the Irish pub was sub par, for the most part. We were excited because this stayed open 24 hours. The chicken wings were cold most of the time. The service on Carnival far outweighs the service on Norwegian and Royal Caribbean and is the most affordable. I didn't like the fact that a reservation was needed for a lot of the entertainment. You also had to pay a fee for some of it! For the amount of money I paid, all of it should have been included and fully accessible to everyone. The housekeeping staff in our room was great. He knew our names and stayed out of your way. Finally, there were no programs or babysitting for my 2 year old granddaughter anywhere on the ship. So if you have any children under the age of 3 and are hoping for a little break from them, you won't find it on the Norwegian Getaway.

My husband and I had a wonderful time. We love the cruise feeling very relaxed, and looking forward to our next cruise on Norwegian Cruise lines. The food was very good and even though The ship was crowded the lines were not very long. The shows are very professional. There was a lot to do every day, On and off the ship. Just enjoy.

It was okay, just was not a great time. I have been on many cruises and was excited to sail on Norwegian for the first time. I was looking forward to visiting Belize only to find out I was still about a 45 minute boat ride from Belize.

Of course we had a good time as we went with another couple. There are good and bad to every cruise. Never went on a cruise that I thought everything was perfect. Shows where good, food was not good in the dining areas, Only good food was in the Specialty Dining restaurants but it better be. Not crazy about how the casino was laid out. It was like a walk through where people constantly walking passing through to get to other areas. The outside bars were nice as were the ones inside. We found the places we liked to hang out and stuck to them like you would do on any ship. I don't let the things I don't like ruin my fun.

My nephew (severe autism) ran from his room and his parents couldn’t find him. Reported to guest services for help-the person at guest services was very helpful, but the security (4 of them) acted as if they had no clue how to do their job and were completely unorganized, asking the same questions numerous times. I finally stepped in and organized everyone and sent people to specific places and my nephew was found by his mommy. Terrible security personnel, just awful. Shocked the the US allows this company to operate out of their ports. Their “customs” process is seconds long-nothing checked at ports, and disembarkation was no different. Pretty much if you looked like a decent family or person they opened your passport and said thank you and you left the area. There is no telling what is brought into the USA on a regular basis judging by NCL’s lax security. I was shocked.

I think they should have more shows at night like the royal , and I don't think we should pay extra to see a show

Always have cruised on Royal Caribbean previously with little or no issues. This ship was beautiful but seemed like the staff from the waiters / waitresses to officers could have cared less about the customers/travelers. There were some exceptional bar tenders who went out of their way easing the pain, and the shows were exceptional, food was adequate, but to get anything good there was always an up- charge. Traveled with a 13 yo. There was no where on the pool deck to hang out with her. For the price not worth it.

This ship just has too many people for my comfort. We enjoyed the beverage package, and the speciality dinners for three nights that we got as perks. I would book a smaller ship next time.

Horse back riding in Roatan I do not suggest. Poor horses were practically on their death beds Costa maya ruins were nice to visit at least once in your life time but our guide guy was weak. Harvest Island, Belize was nice seeing that it’s the cruise line private island. Cozumel offered the most out of the whole experience. As for the ship 2 draw backs. One of my kids went missing for an hr and the staff had no clue what to do or say. Finally found him with a nice family who took time from their own vacation to stay with him at the service desk till I made it down there after searching 2 decks. No announcements were made anywhere on ship that a lost child was found and was being held at service desk and what annoyed me the most is that announcements are made all day long for last minute bingo or the art auction. Won’t be taking Norwegian for a while

A lot of noise on the stateroom not clean bad service

Overall great cruise/staff/food except for the price of the alcohol package!!!!! Not worth 800 when they don’t make your drinks strong enough!
