Review summary

Always have cruised on Royal Caribbean previously with little or no issues. This ship was beautiful but seemed like the staff from the waiters / waitresses to officers could have cared less about the customers/travelers. There were some exceptional bar tenders who went out of their way easing the pain, and the shows were exceptional, food was adequate, but to get anything good there was always an up- charge. Traveled with a 13 yo. There was no where on the pool deck to hang out with her. For the price not worth it.

we experienced the same issues with NCL. we had been on one Carnival cruise and several Royal Caribbean cruises, so when we went on the Sky we also thought the ship was gorgrous, but the service was awful. when we asked for salt & pepper, youd have thought we asked for the moon.. it was crazy how they treated us. we've never gone again. Royal all the way.

They had a undercover boss show about CEO of Norwegian and at time of it being shot, dining room table waiting crews pulled 9 month tours. One of their beefs was they wanted shorter tours/contracts. They did not change that eirher at end of show. 9 months is a LONG time to do that without a break.

My wife just gave her opinion on this and I agree...as far as the long embarkation process - if passengers would vacate their cabins (on disembarkation day) on time, which is usually by 8:30 am, then rooms could be cleaned properly and in a timely manner thus allowing new passengers to board quickly. Usually people hang out in their cabins till the very last minute and they’re asked to leave by the cabin steward. Then they have to rush to clean the room. We (my wife and I) usually get out of the room by 8:30am and go to the main dining room with our luggage and have a relaxing breakfast being waited on for the last time. Best way to go!
