We enjoyed our first cruise on the Getaway. We have sailed NCL over 10 cruises and we enjoyed the larger boat. You get everything that you need and the entertainment was super professional. Food great. You will enjoy this cruise. Great Stirrup Cay was fantastic. Bon voyage.

We had fun, and loved being with family. Kind of think problems we occurred are still covid related and food probably shortage. Might consider trying this cruise line again in a couple of years.

Best pre-honeymoon adventure we could've asked for!

This was our 20 + cruise but our first in the haven on the Getaway with ncl and it was truly the best experience. We hope that we will be able to do it many more times. Great crew great accommodating us with all our requests.

I believe staff should have the choice whether to wear a mask or not! It was hard to recognize one staff member from the other along with difficult to understand what they saying.

I have cruised many times and the cruise sales agents always recommend we purchase the insurance which we always do. After this experience I am starting to believe it might be a waste of money and might reconsider paying the additional fees in the future. I have been working with AON Affinity Travel since April. I have submitted all the paperwork they initially ask for, then I wait 21 days and they ask for more paperwork. They have done this three times since April. I call and ask to speak with a supervisor but no one can connect me with anyone that can make an executive decision. Horrible customer service. It feels like they are waiting for you to give up.

Everything was great except the embarkation that should be a better way to let people in if there are too many people then more staff should be provided to check people in

The Haven made this cruise for us. The service, amenities, staff were just so amazing. Love the Haven!

This was the worst cruise we ever had with Norwegian! Being almost Sapphire members and paid for an expensive Haven Suite, we felt cheated by NCL.

Love cruising - Norwegian is a great line with so much to do on the ship.

RE: CASINO...The reason the casino experience was horrid was a slot machine burst opened in the middle of playing and smashed my right knee. It was too heavy for me to move it so the female pit boss ran over and removed it for me. Then quick as a flash SHE was replaced as was the female dealer sitting across from me that saw the accident happen...FUNNY how she was immediately replace by a man, isn't it? From then on, casino workers breathed down me neck while I played at another machine! And Paul the Manager? IDK how he got his job because he does not possess any people skills at all... That's alright, I'll vote with my wallet next cruise...Don't complain about future cruises on NCL Getaway as YOU have been warned!

My wife and I have sailed with NCL for over 25 years and we are platinum latitude members. We are sad to say that this was the worst itinerary in all of our NCL cruises. There were 4 scheduled ports but the duration/stay scheduled in each port was too short to allow us/guests to enjoy the port. There is no need for a Virginia port and definitely no need for a mandatory evacuation at the Virginia terminal on the day before the last day of our cruise. Although we did not stop at Virginia on our cruise due to weather, we had heard the negative feedback regarding the mandatory terminal evacuation at Virginia from the Getaway returning guests from the prior week. Also it was very disappointing that the ship was not to be able to go to the Great Stirrup Cay, NCL's private island. Regarding the Getaway Captain, he was absent at best, no communication with guests all cruise long unless he was delivering bad news for example to report that the ship is skipping a port due to weather which was the Great Stirrup Cay & Virginia in our case. The Getaway sailed from New York on Sunday March 6 2022 at 2:45pm instead of the scheduled 4:00 without any captain or cruise staff announcement or any sounding of the horn to indicate sailing. For our family with 2 side by side balcony cabins, the sailing is one of our enjoyable time on the balconies as we chat & take pictures. We almost missed the sailing from NY and in every port due to lack of announcement and the non adherence to the daily scheduled times for departures. The ship leadership & staff lack communication to guests. Regarding the Cruise Director Simon, although we appreciate youth, he was childish and his behavior on the cabin TV daily with his assistant was just too juvenile. It was as if we were watching 2 teenagers playing together after their High School classes. As we look back at our past cruises with NCL, the Cruise Directors on the past cruises were mature, behaved appropriately, were polished, communicated with guests, appeared at the end of every show to thank the performers & greet the guests & they certainly behaved like adults. Considering that the NCL average guest age is probably around 50+ or even older, the Cruise Director and his team should reflect the mature guests & cater to them rather than behave like adolescents. On a positive note, the service was excellent from specialty dining staff to complimentary dining staff as well as the room steward and guest services. The food was adequate although at the Tropicana dinner one night the menu said "red snapper", we were served a very dry fish that was not red snapper but rather from a large fish. Although we exchanged it for another entree, the menu should reflect the type of fish being served. We experienced another issue with another fish menu offer on another Tropicana entree where the fish was listed as trout but was not. The fish choices on the ship were not reflective of the NCL quality dining at the Tropicana. In summary, although the Breakaway & the Getaway are sister ships, our experience at the Breakaway to Bermuda last Nov 2021 was much more enjoyable/pleasant. The ship is more elegantly designed, the itinerary of 3 port days in Bermuda allowed us to enjoy the port without the need to rush. The Breakaway Captain was communicating with us/guests daily providing the weather/latitude etc., sharing news or any change in weather or itinerary on a daily basis which was great. Also the Breakaway Cruise Director Alvin and his team were present in every event and in every show, they were greeting staff at the theatre & appearing at the end of every show. We would not sail on the NCL Getaway again and definitely not with the current Getaway Bahamas 7 day itinerary. We do hope that NCL would improve the issues addressed here in this review since we are loyal NCL platinum latitude members and are hoping to continue to sail with them for many years to come.

Wonderful time except for rough weather on the way back. We won’t do 4 ports again. Not enough time for any ports we did see

Extremely disappointed with how this cruise, ship and Norwegian in general are. If this is an indication of how Norwegian is going, I'm not sure about future cruises with them

Need more time at the island Food was great Some offer at shore not happy about I want to do my next trip with my kids

While we needed this vacation- we will not be sailing with NCL ever again. We arrived late to every single port. It never felt like any of the ship’s staff knew what was going on- consistently told wrong information. We got tender tickets for GSC- only to have to wait in a line that wrapped multiple times around the ship because no one actually took the tickets by group. Overall, the misinformation, lateness to every single port, disorganization onboard- I want to vacation with more ease and (published) expectations met. Our family will be returning to the ‘ear’ ships for our future cruises.

This was the first cruise that I have taken alone and I still had a fabulous time! I will continue to go on NCL cruises. It’s the only cruise line that I use.

I would love to travel on the Getaway again, but the diesel fumes are concerning and unless they can tell me why this occurred and assure me it is fixed, I won’t.

Cruising is back baby!!!! This was my first time on Norwegian and it was great (Super Bowl & Valentines Day). Looking forward to doing the HAVEN SUITES next.

Love this cruise can’t wait to take another cruise next year
