The crew were just wonderful; always cheerful, friendly and helpful in every way. They did their best to make the most of the time onboard. Unfortunately, we hit some unexpected cool weather which put a crimp on outisde activities but overall it was a good trip. The free style dining in the speciality restaurants is wonderful.

Great, layout, needs more bathrooms

I though the ship was nice and the crew were all very friendly.

A very clean newish ship, that had on the most part wonderful people working on board, that were very friendly and seemed happy in their job, which made us happy! The Captain, liked to get up and jam with the band, which was a riot. that was special! We paid extra to have use of the spa area, it was so crowded due to bad weather that it was not worth the money, no place to even sit in there. Wish the kids Club was more kid friendly, disappointing for older kids!

We really liked the ship, it was easy to find our way around. The layout was good. It would have been nice to have places for adults (30+) to attend and enjoy themselves without the 18 year olds (who with parental consent are allowed to drink). There were many bars and clubs to go to and enjoy different types of music. Great layout in the theater as well. Ship was clean and there were many hand sanitizer stations. While the food was excellent and there was so much of it- it was all the same. If you went out to the poolside or inside the cafe it was the same. There wasn't the variety I have seen on other ships and there were times when food was not available except for one small dining area that was sit down and a very limited menu.

Overall, it was very good.

The ship was clean and very spacious. However, the staff was remarkably unfriendly and not very accommodating. The gym was very nice, but could have more equipment that are female friendly like the inner and outer thigh exercise machine.

the ship itself was nice-average. nothing horrible. the crowds they allowed were unbearable at times and made everybody visibly cranky and defensive about saving seats for shows, meals, etc. the food was absolutely below average. it was hard to find something that was outstanding in 7 days. i did not. this is not to say that the staff did not work hard, they did. the quality of many ingredients, coffee, ice creams, etc. was terrible.

The NCL GEM was a perfectly sized for this iternary - not too big, not too small.

The ship was definitely older. And the food must have been too. It was sub-par and nothing to write home about. None was fresh. Stateroom was small, smaller than average (I've taken at least 8 cruises on multiple ships). Bartenders were cranky. Both of my excursions got cancelled and I wasn't given enough time to book something else. Took 3 days to see a manager about it.

The ship was very nice and the ports of call were fun. The service on the ship, especially in the Grand Pacific dining room, was not the greatest. The food was good but not hot and it was the same thing over and over. As always, there were a couple of staff members that really stood out as being great! Too bad they weren't all that way!

The ship was very nice, and the mini-suite was wonderful. The mini-suite was very affordable, and it had a great bathroom with a full-size tub. I have been on 18 cruises, but this was probably one of my favorite rooms. Getting on and off the ship was also very easy.

Felt New, easy to navigate, and relaxing

This was our first ever cruise and even though things didn't go as planned, we still thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The shows were very good. The Man from Mars was excellent, the Second City Comedy act was hilarious. Nestor our Room Steward was so nice. He greeted us at every opportunity by name. The crew are very hard workers and very welcoming too. We had a hiccup or two because of an unexpected medical evacuation of a passenger and rough seas on the day to visit the private island but that is not Norwegian's fault. They gave the safety of the passengers priority and it was wise though inconvenient for many. The ribeye and salmon at the smaller sitdown dining room ( i forgot the name) was so good. I ate the salmon 4 times. I didn't love their Martini Bar. The Martinis were fair at best. But I can be a martini snob. Overall the experience was good. We have memories and hope to cruise again.
