Review summary

The ship was very nice and the ports of call were fun. The service on the ship, especially in the Grand Pacific dining room, was not the greatest. The food was good but not hot and it was the same thing over and over. As always, there were a couple of staff members that really stood out as being great! Too bad they weren't all that way!

The food was average; not very hot. The food at the buffet was never hot. The convenience of dining times was great. One restaurant, Tappaneki was excellent!!

I gave this an average rating while in realty there were a few staff members that were great! Unfortunately, there were more that were not. It was very difficult to understand many of them because they did not speak good English. Not impressed with the majority of the staff.

Stateroom was good; small of course but all we did was sleep in it so it was fine.

Pros: The activities, the casino and the ports of call.

Cons: The waitstaff and the food.

Recommends Norwegian Gem? Yes!
