We had such a great time, that we booked another cruise before leaving this one. Looking forward to NCL Escape next September to Bermuda. Thank you NCL for a great experience.

This was my 1st cruise with NCL and not my last. I enjoyed this one so much that I booked Bermuda for next year. From the staff in the terminal to the crew on board, we had a great experience.

went Aug 12. our cabin steward Jacinta was great. He was friendly, helpful and greeted my sister and I by name all the time. The rest of the staff was also friendly and helpful. I'm not sure why people have said they aren't. Sure they weren't always smiling, but then again who always smiles while working. Anytime I smiled and said hi they smiled back and greeted. I would ha e to say this time the food was a little bland at times but it wasn't horrible. the bands were excellent. all in all we had a really good time!

I went with my sister and had a better time this second cruise on the Gem. The first time in 2016 on the Gem I didn't know what to expect and was a little apprehensive. My favorite were the shows on the ship. The food was good but the buffet was crowded. We got the drink package which was totally worth it (I like the mixed drinks) There were also a LOT of kids this time being it was summer vacation for them. The other downfall to this time of the year was it was brutally hot in the Bahamas, 95 to 100 degrees with high humidity. Overall it was a fun trip!!

Had a great time on the Gem. Good first time cruise. I look forward to bigger ships with more space and less overcrowded lido deck. Definitely recommend.

This cruise was a sister trip that was not only relaxing but amazing! We would definitely do it again!

Just returned from my trip on the Gem😔. Back to reality. But I absolutely loved it and would do it again in a heartbeat. The staff was all very sweet and accommodating. They all have very thick accents so they were a little hard to understand but went out of their way to help you. The food was great even the buffet. The hardest decision was deciding what activities to participate in or just soak in the hot tub with a frosty drink.

It was very fun and relaxing cruise I had besides the tendering process and that bad experience at Cagney everything went very well,and the staff was very friendly.

Been a while since we have been on the Gem, we miss her, love her, hope to get back on her soon. Something about the ship, we have been sailing on the Gem since pretty much her beginning, the ship just always seem to run so smoothly, well organized, not over crowded, great personalities always on board.

First cruise, so I have nothing to compare it to. Overall, very happy with the whole experience. Food and service exceeded expectations! Kennedy Space Center should not be missed!

We were on the Gem July 22nd -29th, 6 family members ages 18 to 68. This was our 3rd time with Norwegian, once on the Breakaway, and twice on the Gem. By coincidence Alvin was our cruise director all 3 times. Alvin and his staff are so much fun, they really want to make sure everyone is having a great time. We had a fabulous vacation. The staff on the Gem works so hard. My sister has a dietary problem, and the chef really took care of her. in Nassau we went to the Blue lagoon, we all loved it. Starting to plan next cruise with Norwegian. Free style is really better if you are traveling with adults of different ages.

Just returned yesterday from our cruise on the Gem. I miss it (sigh), but we had an amazing time and memories that will last a lifetime! Although an older ship, the Gem was immaculate! The staff members were all very friendly and extremely hardworking. My 7 y/o son absolutely loved Splash Academy and never wanted to leave when my husband and/or I would go pick him up. The youth counselors and kids put on a circus show at the Stardust theatre one afternoon and it was the cutest and funniest show ever! The counselors are all awesome and great with the kids! Food was delicious and nonstop. Nightly shows were superb! (Don't miss the 7pm show on the last night! Best one of all!) I could go on and on... but in a nutshell, you will have a wonderful time! We sure did!

It was amazing totally recommend going back on in 29 days since I when on last summer. Can't wait to see the amazing staff and more. I wish it would come earlier.

Got off the Gem this morning😭 This is my 13th cruise(10th with ncl) and it just gets better and better. The staff is great,food was great,entertainment was amazing. I purchased 2 cruise next and my bf did as well. Had a wonderful time in Nassau. we did the resort for a day Dolphin encounter in Atlantis🦈 it was wonderful👍. we spent the rest of the day at the beach and pool and and even did the lazy river. we felt like 2 kids (AMAZING). Had a wonderful time at Cocoa beach @ the Sandbar. ahhhh it was all amazing. I am so looking forward to the next cruise. Now back to reality😡😩

(A quick note before reading: I rated all of the categories as 1 so as to not bolster the overall review, because the way this company has treated me is worth zero stars at best. However, I should note that the ship and its amenities were adequate, although nothing was better than what can be found on other cruise lines.) This was my third and final cruise with Norwegian cruise line. I have very few complaints about the cruise itself, although it should be noted that guest services aboard the ship was not helpful whatsoever. The rest of the services/experiences while aboard the ship were adequate, but nothing special in comparison to other cruise lines. The reason for this one-starred review (which would be zero stars if possible) is due to the obscenely poor customer service/guest relations I have experienced with Norwegian since disembarking. Let me elaborate. Unfortunately, just a few hours after disembarking I realized I had left a wallet in the safe in my stateroom. I called Norwegian immediately, who responded by saying that I had to wait until Monday (it was a Saturday when we disembarked) in order to call the relevant department (strike one). I waited until Monday, called, and was told I then had to fill out an online form and wait 10 business days to hear back (strike two- the representative on the phone could have easily told me on Saturday to fill out the form). 10 full business days later, I received an email saying my wallet had been located, and could be shipped back to me for $20 'rush' shipping. I then paid the exorbitant fee for shipping, only for Norwegian to take 4 more days just to package and ship out my item (strike three, so much for rush shipping). Over a week later, I finally received my wallet. Just when I thought the nightmare was over, I opened my wallet to discover a gaping empty space where OVER $200 IN CASH SHOULD HAVE BEEN. Justifiably angry, I immediately called Norwegian (who I now have on speed dial), only to have the representative tell me "it is my responsibility to keep track of my things" (strike four). A NORWEGIAN EMPLOYEE told me that. It is worth mentioning again at this point that my item was IN A SAFE with a code that must be reset by stewards at the end of each guest's stay. Therefore, the only people who had access to my wallet since I reported it lost were Norwegian employees. The idea that a Norwegian employee stole from me did not seem to phase the representative I was speaking to, which is concerning in and of itself, however I digress. Seeing as I was not getting anywhere with this representative, I hung up and called again. This time the representative was ever so slightly more helpful, claiming that Norwegian would have intentionally removed the cash because they do not send cash through the mail. They then claimed that I would receive a check in the mail for the amount in the wallet (~$200). I asked how I might be able to track said check to make sure Norwegian kept their word, to which the representative replied that there is no method of tracking, I just had to wait indefinitely for it (strike 5? 6? I've lost count). I then promptly filled out a complaint claim online, to which the Norwegian automatic response is 'we will get back to you in 15 business days'. It has been over a month since I sent that claim, and I have neither heard back from Norwegian nor received any money from them. This is absolutely, unequivocally, the most horrendous customer service I have ever experienced. I was (and still am) appalled at the sheer negligence Norwegian has shown towards my dilemma, and for the prices they charge for taking their cruises I expected far more in the way of respect towards their customers. A last word for those who have made it this far: this is not in any way exaggerated. This is exactly the exchange I have had with Norwegian since that fateful day I left my wallet on the ship. This review is meant as a cautionary tale to any who should read it- DO NOT CRUISE WITH NORWEGIAN. And if you do, be sure to remember all of the belongings that you don't want lost somewhere in the bowels of this inept corporation.

Loved everything about this ship... comfy bed, nice size cabin and balcony. Crew and staff were all very friendly and attentive... even though they are tired, long hours of work... I especially enjoyed the nightly shows... different theme each night... and the cast were all very talented. Ship is kept clean and immaculate... even the public bathrooms. Can't say anything negative... I was very sad to leave... I must say one of the best vacation ever.

We had a blast on this cruise!!! 2nd time on the gem, food,entertainment, drinks and staff were excellent!! Can't wait to go on another cruise.Would highly recommend

Just returned off the Gem. First cruise so not sure what to expect. Staff were very good ship clean and room steward Arnold was fab. Food good and plentiful but so many people are so greedy. No need to eat three plates per sitting. Need umbrellas at private island and Bahamas as scorching there. None for rent though. Overall a good holiday but won't return with Norwegian x

Everything on the cruise was great only thing we didn't like is paying $32 for a case of water. Then we had to spill 2 bottles of water when we were in port Canaveral.
