Embarkation

The process to get the trip started was wonderful! Easy and quick!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The main dining room food was okay. I expected a larger choice of main entrees; the specialty dining rooms were great. The Teppanyaki was the best! The buffet food had a good taste but always COLD no matter what time we got there or what we ate!

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Bingo - Overrated and way too expensive.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The shows were good

Children's Programs

Did not bring any children

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff was always smiling and friendly.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Most of the ship was good. There were a few places that were hard to get to and you had to go through cabin hallways to get to them.

Cabin / Stateroom

2 out of 5
I thought, through experience with other cruise lines that the room was too small, not even room for a small nightstand on both sides of the bed, but liked the size of the shower.

We did a beach excursion. The beach was clean and water nice.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas Did not visit port

We were called back home due to weather in the U.S. Second time I have missed St. Thomas on a cruise.

Disembarkation

Not going to St. Thomas, we assumed we would get into NY easy. Our paperwork stated arrival time as 10:00 am. However, the ship slowed down and did not completely dock until about 11 and then an issue with customs. We were not able to disembark until NOON and we had a train to catch at 12:35 at Penn Station. We took our luggage with us so that we could be one of the first off the ship. We were informed that we had to be out of our rooms by 9:30 am and the caption kept getting on the intercom asking us to not congregate at the Atrium or any of the Lounges. Where were we supposed to wait??? Anyway, the people taking their luggage were not able to disembark NOON. Some even missed their connections to get home. From the time we went down to wait to disembark 8:00 AM, until we finally got clearance to get off the ship, we were left for the most part, not knowing why it was taking so long. Luckily, our Train was delayed and we made it home. during our wait in the Bliss Lounge from 8 - NOON no staff member came in to see if any of us needed anything, even WATER!! It was the worst experience I have ever had disembarking a cruise ship. This was my 1st cruise with Norwegian but my 5th cruise.

What hallways did you have to go thru to get somewhere? I'm guessing you went thru the ones that went to O'sheenans which can also be accessed from the Atrium. We were on the same cruise and avoid the buffet at all cost except the one at Great Outdoors. How much of a variety do you expect at the dining rooms? There is always plenty of things to choose from. Yes getting off was not the usual for NYC. We were off in Sept by 830 and that was on Escape. Maybe cruising isn't your thing.

You don't know until you try. We also found bingo a little expensive

Sorry to hear about your disembarkment experience. This is not normal for NCL. Normally they have a very efficient disembarkment processes. ⚓

I found bingo to be expensive on all cruise lines.
