Review summary

I spoke to many repeat cruisers who took this same cruise every year and everyone agreed that things had gone downhill on this cruise!  I was a first-timer so I was glad to hear that many people agreed with me that the food was okay but nothing special; too many unbehaved child on board (staff should have spoken to parents about their unruly children and put a stop to it right away).  Lounge singers were very good, especially Dana and the Prism group.  Most shows were quite good.  I will never do this line again as everything on the Princess ships are so much better even if it's a little more money!

Having a pull-down bed next to the side of the bed was not good as I would hit my shoulder on it every time I got out of the bed during the night! Needed more room between bed and pull-down bed to avoid this happening.

Ship tip

Specialty dining restaurants were too expensive and I heard they were nothing special! There was no quiet place outside to read as there was music constantly being played! Special of the day drinks weren't common drinks I know and weren't good. General prices of drinks/wine way too expensive!

we were on this cruise too with all the kids. at first I was surprised to see so many kids. we have been on 5 cruises all around this same time and hardly ever see kids. they are always in the kids programs. the kids were unruly, were in the adult pool and hot tubs and were actually very nasty when told they had to get out. multiple times staff and security told them to get out and either they or their parents spoke nasty to the staff. we had 11 in our group and we all saw how rude the parents and kids were. they would throw snack bags on the pool deck, in the hallways, adults and kids sitting on the steps blocking the way, and we would have to go around them, the would never move. by day 4 many other cruisers were complaining and crew staff were just frustrated. it didn't ruin our cruise, its my vacation, I am going to the Caribbean and I just missed a huge snow storm at home it can't get any better than that, but it was a shame to see ignorant parents and unruly kids. I will cruise again but will always ask how many kids are booked on the cruise.

I've been on several cruises and the food is just as good if not better on NCL and it's what you make of it. parents are responsible for their own kids not the staff.
