Review summary
Overall, the Escape is a great ship and the staff is amazing. I couldn't speak highly enough of the staff or how well they are organized. They made the difference with my cruise. I hope they are well paid and not receiving good pay just because the gratuity charges make up their wages. They deserve every dime. On the other hand, June was exceptionally hot, I noticed that some of the cruise participants were not prepared for just how hot it was nor the physicality several of these ports required, such as Santorini. In one instance, in Pisa, there was a 15 minute walk from where the bus parked and to the sights of interest such at the Leaning Tower. Two of the tour participants cut their time short and took a taxi back to the ship. Certainly, this is no fault of the Cruise Line nor the Tour operator, I only mention it so that whomever is planning their trip to be mindful of the time of the year and your personal physical capabilities.Embarkation
