Cruise was good but not great. This was a very special occasion for us (honeymoon) and NCL did nothing for us. No decorations, no bottle of wine, no upgrade, not even a card. We did however get a small cake at one of our speciality dinners.

Drinks were great, no complaints there! Food however was lacklustre at best. Barely any flavour or seasoning added to dishes. Buffet was horrible! Best meal was Cagney’s Steakhouse. Staffing for drinks and meals was fantastic though!

Mediocre at best. No show-stoppers by any means. Some of the nightly games were fun though. Bingo was alright too.

Decks were too closed off, the flow was very awkward. Very limited open space to enjoy.

Upgraded to a Club Cabin for $100. We never got the sparkling wine though, and the cabin although mid-ship had terrible vibrations!
Ship tip
Do not book shore excursions with them. Limited and boring. Expect delays when docking for shore days. Get copies of receipts BEFORE you leave the ship.
Too many ships docked at the same time and terrible delays for tendering. Lift and donkeys were a 2+ hour wait. We ended up walking the stairs and nearly died from heat exhaustion.
You do understand that NCL is not responsible for giving you flowers and all that .. there are packages that you have TO PAY FOR It's not w freebie just because .. geeze

As many others have posted......if you want Decorations or any kind of extra service, you include on the cruise personalizer and pay for it. My first cruise, I read and researched as much as I could, so if you felt it was owed to you, you are wrong, but they will be more than happy to decorate your cabin if you order the package.
And this is why pretty much every cruise line has options to purchase packages for birthday and anniversary. Sorry, I know you think you're special but you are on a cruise with 5,000 other people and a good number cruise for celebration reasons, honeymoons, anniversaries, birthdays...they are a business. If you want special things either pay the price for Haven or book a package. They aren't just going to give you an upgraded cabin, or decoration or anything else because you think you deserve them- everyone else thinks they deserve them to and my cruise fare shouldn't go up to cover other people's celebrations, which yes free things equal higher costs for everyone.
Usually, the decorations must be ordered. I was on the Escape in June 2018. I am so sad to see that it changed. It was very fun, the food was good. Sorry that you didn't have the best cruise .
