Horrible cruise, no apologies for all the problems. I`ll stick to Celebrity cruises. We will never sail NCL again. That`s why the cruise is cheap.
Embarkation

Horrible. Line was crazy long, started raining and was soaking wet before we got on the ship. After first getting on waiting for rooms to open they were way under staffed. 1 Bar tender at the martini bar, 20 just to order a drink, madness
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Main dining room was ok, specialty restaurants great, Buffet ok.
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
Pool was extremely crowded, get there early or no seats. We used the spa everyday, that was great.
Entertainment
1 out of 5
Make reservations for shows or you don`t get in. Just every place was crowded and long lines.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
The regular workers were excellent, always helpful. Deck crew were almost never around. Try a Celebrity cruise, you will meet the Captain and his Officers.
Ship Quality
2 out of 5
Ship was always clean but design was horrible. Only 2 sets of elevators and about 50% of the the the elevators were packed with people and had to wait for a second or third one.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
Cabin was great. always clean and great Veranda.
Ship tip
Don`t sail with NCL and especially on the Epic. Total cluster and this was our second time on NCL. First time on NCL was in May and the Trip was just ok, not great. This was a second chance to see if they were better. This Cruise was even worse. Sail Celebrity. Have sailed with Celebrity 6 times, always great!
The Port was fine but the ship was 3 hours late so our tour was canceled. 3 hours total in port. Ship was due in at port at 9AM, Captain announces we`re going to be late at 9:15, obviously
Port was canceled allegedly because of bad weather. We were supposed to be there on Friday the 8th, they announced it was canceled on the 6th. Weather was perfect on the 8th. Used our phones to check the weather, clear skies at the port. More BS by the captain. He should have acknowledged something was wrong with the ship.
Research goes a long way. You can book shows in advance. Nearly every cruise ship I’ve been on has a similar layout with two sets of elevators, one forward and one aft. There are things not to like about the ship, but when you complain about things that are present on the majority of ships, that simply shows a lack of knowledge.
Almost every review is always skewed, so i don't particularly take them seriously. I also noticed for all the really bad reviews, there is never a cruise history. I also think that people for some odd reason, they think cruising is a vacation that is suppose to make them feel like royalty, but sadly, many cruisers act like spoiled brats, and feel they are entitled to whatever they want and when tge crew say no, they write a scathing review. I also noticed when there are reviews full of petty issues, these same people say the crew is overworked, which makes me think they treated the crew like their own personal servant.
Again the bad review with no cruise activity I think it's fake I was on epic before not a fan of the layout but it was a great cruise I love ncl they are very clean and the staff have always been good
I was on the same cruise and had a total different experience. It wasn't perfect but it was nothing like this commenter described. We had an amazing time overall
