It’s definitely needs a refresh. The stateroom was cramped and the design was awful.

I also was a little #@*# about the ship, but it did have alot of little things that helped us! Like the different color lights at the elevator banks, the color of the carpet's for even or odd, and not to forget the fish swimming towards the front of the ship in the carpet! I understand this is the only ship designed & built in Germany for NCL, so that is why the rooms are laidout the way rhere are! (Glass Doors on the Bath Room and Showers) As for the ship it wasn't that bad, food was Good, eat on your time was different, I & the wife like having a set Dinning time & table to visit with fellow cruisers and get information on other cruise's! Over ALL I enjoyed my First NCL Cruise!

On the bright side, pretty much any other ship you go on next will be a better experience. Try Royal.

Thanks for an honest review. Just remember, most cruise lines order ships in sets of 3-5, so when you feel like trying again also avoid the same class of ship.

Yes, agree with other comments. This ship is consistently low-rated for multiple reasons, so your experience is likely to be vastly better on a different ship.

Cruising is awesome when you find the right line and ship size. I'm not a fan of the big giant ships. But we love to travel and this is the cheapest way to do so. Sorry your cruise wasn't up to your expectations. Thanks for sharing.

Great attitude! Keep trying until you find what is comfortable for you. Hate that your first cruise wasn’t the best, hope the rest will be.

Horrible, not happy!

Very disappointed with the EPIC in general. Too crowded. Could never get a seat at any of the bars. Venues were too small and could not enjoy the shows. Stateroom was a terrible floor plan.

Stay away from NCL!
