Review summary

We were very disappointed in Norwegian. Being first time cruises for this line and we could compare to carnival,r’ royal Caribbean and Holland. Region nickels and dime shoot to death. Everything is a charge. The food quality is great if you want to pay an extra $40 per meal per person.

If you’re willing to take a two hour wait to go up a cliff and a three hour wait to come back down the cliff then you will love the place. We had a five hour stop over and that’s all we did is go up a cliff and down cliff.. the island cannot handle seven cruise ships at the same time. It can barely handle one if that. The infrastructure cannot handle the multitude of people from the cruise ships. Long lines and no infrastructure for bathrooms or roads or anything else for that matter.

All cruise lines have extra charges we just got off carnival Horizon & they have it IMAX, some food , fresh juice ,

If you cruise as much as you say, then why don't you know that all cruise lines have things that cost? It's basically a floating mall that you sleep on, get free entertainment, free food all day, drinks ( not free ) but drinks, different ports and a gorgeous view of the sea.

As others have noted, NCL has upcharges just like other cruuse lines. There is alwaysca give and take with what cruuse lines include with cruise fare. The only charges I have on NCL are daily service fees, a possible purchase in gift shop, and sometimes taxes on drinks whole in certain ports, which can be avoided if you are made aware of it. I'm at a high enough tier level that I receive certain perks, which lowers my on board spending.

Not sure what you are doing that you have to pay extra for. I sail with NCL often and don’t pay a dime onboard (unless I buy stuff at the duty free shop). What is advertised is what you get. Meals, drinks, etc. they certainly charge extra for things like bingo, etc just like every other line. Things you opt to do if you want.

I don't understand why everyone says a particular cruise line nickel n dimes to death, I've been on a variety of cruise lines and they all do it, everyone is aware of the upselling.

Sorry you were not pleased. We have always had an excellent experience on NCL. We like the additional included dining. Santorini has always been busy in the summer.
