Review summary

The overall itinerary is decent, but the ship was terrible in every way, and the cruise was verry poorly organized. Also, not sure if this is due to the ship or that it was sailing in Europe, but it did not feel like a typical NCL experience. From service to food quality, it was a huge disappointment. Maybe a sign of the times.

Embarkation

1 out of 5
They apparently had issues with their systems, so people stood in hot sun, without shade, for ~4 hours before they allowed embarkation to proceed. There was tons of confusion, no communication, and people were fainting. They handed out cups of water here and there. It was very chaotic and a terrible start.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Skip the specialty restaurants, the food quality is not what it used to be and will cost you a premium. Buffet breakfasts are just awful, so eat at the restaurant where its much better.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Service was a mixed bag. Staff seemed tired and irritated.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Poorly designed ship. It's not very old, but feels like a much much older ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

1 out of 5
I've been on two dozen cruises and this is by far the worst cabin/design I've seen. There is no dedicated bathroom in the room. The sink is next to your bed, and you have to use a curtain to separate the room from the tiny separate toilet/shower areas. Prison cells may be more convenient. I would not have more than 2 people in the room.

Ship tip

Pick a different ship and maybe a difference cruise line.

Did not have the chance to come out due to delays/port traffic. I heard people were stuck and fighting ashore on the pier to come back.

Disembarkation

Disembarkation was actually quick and easy, maybe a highlight of the cruise,
