No cruise is a bad cruise, IMHO. however, I was disappointed in the lack of shows in the big theatre place. One of my favorite things to do. Food was not as good as usual. Lots of waving in the back of the boat.

Food and Dining

The Teppanyaki and French specialty dining were great. Disappointed with Cagney's steakhouse. Regular dining room was okay. But I'm not a fan of the freestyle dining. I like having a relationship with my waiter.
Onboard Activities

We used the hot tubs and fitness center. Nice facilities
Entertainment

The drag show, I thought, was too controversial when you are trying to please all people. The Burn the Floor was GREAT. Epic Beatles were great. However, before pandemic and other cruise lines I've been on, they had some sort of entertainment in the main show hall every night. I sure miss that.
Children's Programs
Had no kids there.
Service and Staff

Most of the bartenders were nice and hard working. I would give them a tip here and there and they seemed most appreciative. Room steward: times are different. In the past, pre-Covid, the room steward would always come and introduce themselves the first day of cruise. We didn't even know who our room steward was for several days. And no more towel animals. I always loved seeing that. Our wait in French restaurant was extraordinaire, as well as the chef in the Teppanyaki restaurant. .
Ship Quality

The ship itself and cabins were very clean. However, the layout of the bathroom on this ship leaves a lot to be desired.
Cabin / Stateroom

I've been on many, many cruises, every year for many years other than during pandemic. I thought it would be great to be on the back of the ship to watch it. I don't know if it was just that cabin, or they are all this way, but the cabins seemed smaller than usual. You can't even get two people by at the same time between the bed and the countertop.
Ship tip
Bring an extension cord to have enough plugs for your phones, etc., or a CPAP machine.
The only thing I disliked on the Epic was the bathroom. I was a single cruiser, which was okay, but it would be awkward at best with more people in cabin. I never had a bad day or bad experience on Epic and you have to go in with a open mind if you see some shows that could be controversial. No cruise line is perfect and on my 30+ cruises still have not had a perfect cruise, cause something will go wrong somewhere in a 7 or more night cruise with 3000 passengers. If something goes wrong and its minor or trivial, let it go and don't let that be the deciding factor on how the cruise went.
