Review summary

We had a very busy trip. It is definitely not a relaxing itinerary. Of course you can skip some ports but that felt wrong in Europe. The staff was great.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very easy and fast embarkation in Barcelona. I was surprised at how fast the process was.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Sit down restaurants were very good. The buffet is crazy busy and a little stressful.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
As the cruise was so port heavy, we did not have the time to experience many of the onboard activities.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Stage shows were very good.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward was excellent as was the portrait studio.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
As everyone writes the bathroom set-up is strange to say the least. My shower was a the door of the cabin. It was very uncomfortable when people came into the cabin and I was in the shower.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Room was beautiful and very clean. Bed was short.

Ship tip

Book everything you want to do before you board, the ship is huge with many people who want to do the same thing as you!

Ports of call

Barcelona, Spain

5 out of 5
We were in Barcelona 2 days before the cruise and 4 days after. Sandemann Walking Tour is free but must be pre-booked. It was very informative. We also did the Hop On Hop Off bus,

Naples, Italy

4 out of 5
We did an Amalfi Coast tour with Viator. The views were breathtaking but I would not recommend this tour for people who get car sick.

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

5 out of 5
We did a private tour with RomeInLimo. It was the best tour we did. With so little time in the city, you really need to be with someone who knows the city. If you are going to spend money on a private tour this is the place to do it.

Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy

3 out of 5
We did Pisa and Florence. It was too much to do in the short time period we had. I feel that we didn't really have enough time to explore Florence. If I had to do it again, I would only do Florence.

Cannes, France

3 out of 5
We explored on our own.

Palma De Mallorca, Balearic Islands

5 out of 5
We did the Hop On Hop Off bus. One of our stops was a beach. We really enjoyed the combination of beach and sightseeing.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Very easy compared to American ports.

I agree. If doing a European cruise I would HAVE to visit all the ports. Can always sleep after I get back to work (lol).
