Get the thermal spa package, but be ready to be harassed about massages and stuff if you do.

Book excursions as soon as they are available online. Book speciality restaurants and shows as soon as you board ship

Don’t be afraid to ask any of the personnel a question. They are always very helpful.

If you want to read, hit the Observation Lounge, great place to relax and read. The only issue was that they dimmed the lights @ 6:00 each night so you couldn't read anymore.

Go in with low expectations. We did 28 days on the Escape Oct/Nov 2022, and noticed a substantial drop in food offerings (no more fois gras), as well as drink options (no more Canadian Beer). Self Serve coffee in the buffet, no one coming around with refills.

If you are not a big breakfast person like myself. Enjoy a contenental breakfast on the Observation Deck. It is so relaxing.

No need to upgrade to the VIBE adult section during shoulder seasons -- there will not be many children on board.

This District Brew Pub is a nice place to end the evening with fun entertainment and great service.

If you select a cabin on deck 15 forward, you will be in very close proximity to the observation lounge, and just one flight of stairs from the buffet. If you select deck 15 aft, you will be just one flight of stairs from the spa. Other than popular excurstion times and embarkation and debarkation we never had an issuse getting an elevator. The primary social areas are on decks 6-7-8, so staying close to those decks would allow you to skip the need for an elevator for much of your stay.

Don’t bother with an umbrella, just take a good rain jacket! (Windy)

Do it...

The elevators get crowded at peak times, so I occasionally took the stairs. But my tip would be that if a person wants to go down, sometimes it's worth it to ride up up first and then go down to the desired floor. This also works going the opposite direction.

Don’t bother with an umbrella if you are going to Alaska! Far too windy. Get to the observation lounge early for good seats.

Book cheap or don't go
geminicollene56
Expect delays for elevators; beds not comfortable, and expect to do a lot of walking as it is a huge ship with 16 floors. Other than that everything else was great!
chilliano
Don’t choose this ship if you’re going to Alaska.
