Review summary

Overall this cruise was great. Having never cruised before we didn't know what to expect. We both have physical ailments that limited us from fully enjoying everything the cruise had to offer, but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves with what we were able to participate in.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
We had

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
I preferred the main dining rooms to specialty dining. We were not impressed with the specialty dining. We had better service and better choices in the main dining room.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Didn't use them.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Unable to see any stage shows. We had booked the Choir of Men, but they had no record of it. The performers that played in the common areas were great! Very good and entertaining.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff was excellent. Very service oriented and willing to make us happy with whatever we asked of them. They all worked very hard.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Every area was very clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin size exceeded our expectations. It was very clean. However, the bed had some sort of wood beams poking up from under the mattress pad. I didn't sleep well because of it and my hips hurt from being on the hard surface and shallow padding.

Ship tip

Expect delays for elevators; beds not comfortable, and expect to do a lot of walking as it is a huge ship with 16 floors. Other than that everything else was great!

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington

5 out of 5
We did no excursion. We are from here.

Juneau, Alaska Did not visit port

We were tired and stayed on board. It was cold, very windy and raining.

Skagway, Alaska

5 out of 5
We took the train excursion. I was disappointed because coming from Washington the scenery was very similar to Washington scenery. The conductors on board the train were very entertaining and gave a good account of the history of the area.

Cruise Glacier Bay Did not visit port

back problems, cold and windy.

KETCHIKAN (WARD COVE), ALASKA Did not visit port

Too much walking on board the ship. We were exhausted physically and decided not to leave the ship.

Victoria, British Columbia Did not visit port

Not interested.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Much better than the embarkation. They got us off the ship quickly and had a wheel chair to take us off immediately. We had priority embarktation which went well for the disembarktation , not so well for the embarktation.

Sorry you were not able to visit at all the ports. You may want to look into getting the rental carts for getting around the ship and in the ports on any of the larger ships.
