Was a great cruise itinerary. One complaint was that they ran out of regular coffee pods for our machine in our stateroom. We had to drink decaf almost the whole last week. Totally unacceptable! On our previous cruise they ran out of half and half for 3-4 days. Very upsetting as milk just doesn’t suffice! NCL needs to make sure that these kinds of items are in stock. People pay a lot of money for a cruise and these kinds of things are important.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Embarked in Miami. Much better than NY. Very organized and we were on the ship in a short time.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The main dining rooms and specialty restaurants were excellent. Food and service were very good. Occasionally, service was a little slow but always the server was friendly and tried to please your every request, apologizing for the wait. Ninety nine percent of everything we consumed was great.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Husband went to the gym daily. He said it was good. Did not use anything else. Just enjoyed walking around the ship and sitting on our balcony.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Saw two of the Beatles shows. They were pretty good. Also saw the female violinist who was very talented and exceptional! We also saw two of her shows. The first one was outstanding as she dedicated the last part of her concert to Freddy Mercury from Queen! One of our favorites!
Children's Programs
No Children.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Our room steward Albert was a very nice gentleman. He was always accommodating, friendly and respectful. Throughout the ship, all personnel were smiling and friendly.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Layout of ship was good. Would be excellent if the Garden Cafe was in the aft facing part of the ship. We ALWAYS book an aft-facing room so it was a little inconvenient for us.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Cabin was good. Decent size balcony. Shower stall was a little small for my husband and I did hit my elbow on the shower doorknob. He is a big guy and I am small. For the price, the room was acceptable. We usually like a penthouse, when the price is good.
Ship tip
Don’t be afraid to ask any of the personnel a question. They are always very helpful.
This was our second time going through the Panama Canal and it was a wonderful experience once again. We did not do an excursion as we were there last year and did one then.
This pier had a small bunch of kiosks and items being sold by locals. My husband got a beautiful leather hat. Don’t be afraid to dicker on the price as they have everything priced very high. He got the hat for forty dollars less. I bought some vanilla extract for a very reasonable price compared to U.S.
We had an excursion booked but cancelled 2 days before as the weather was going to be rain and temperature in the 40’s. It was a horse-drawn trolley which would have been lovely in better weather.
Leaving the ship was ok. A VERY long walk. We had arranged for Norwegian to take us to the airport. Was well worth it. Very organized and quick. We arrived at airport (Seattle) with plenty of time to relax before our flight.
