Overall you have to fulfill the desire of curiosity in life. This was on bucket list and wanted it to be special. I'm retired from US Navy so 5 ships and 20 years been around but wanted to take wife first class to Alaska. Well my opinion is book a regular room and bar package and save money for another day. I do 30 days in Italy and airfare business and apt run about 9k. All in we spend around 15 for very nice upscale time. We also pick other countries in Europe to and some cheaper than that. Glacier Bay was beautiful and definitely a part that's embedded in my brain. Haven definitely not worth the money I spent. Maybe 3 to 4k for both and that's all in with extras IMO. Enjoy if you go!! See the world and life is short.

If you get a email for there covid test for big bucks don't do it. The info does not show up anywhere in there system. Just go to CVS or rapid test cheaply and bring results. The inspiration is a scam rip off

Ok day 1 9k spent and the main concierge is saying no drink package. Now bear in mind I'm in large Penthouse in Haven. Blinked our eyes and Bill was over 335.00...whaaaattttt. 2.5 days later corrected but we still need to charge you 280.00 for misc on that package plus numerous little add on which people can't explain

First 2nd bathroom pretty much a stand up urinate station. Shower is tight and I'm 6'1 188 sooooo. Very tiny sink and just really tight on toilet. Good luck!! The couch in separate living area is a square brick. The outdoor loungers need a new cushion. Really beat down. Main bath had stopped up draining issues and main floor drain gurgle now and then with a really bad smell that overcame suite a few times. Tool 3 days for slippers and mine were size 7 for my size 12 foot. Useless. The afternoon snack of but and potato chips was a joke and potato chips were very stale the whole trip. We only got our request for peanut mms one day. Again 9k spent here
Ship tip
Don't book Haven unless cheap. Also when booking get all extras in writing or be prepared to get in lengthy tug a war. Don't wait for them to contact you from the concierge, there just to darn busy.
Nice town but whale watching guarantee is if you see a fin and mist from spout that's your whale. Watch a video on YouTube and save money for your Europe trip!!
There security seems to be alittle Barney Fife. You can't bring a 3 inch rock on board because? ?????Show me guide lines please. Ahh nope move along. Gee you can buy nuggets of gold but a rock on side of road not in national park and it's illegal??? Hmmmm
First off thank you 🙏🏽 for your service, my gosh they should have a discount for retired service members that’s a lot of money to spend on what sounds like sub par pretentious luxury, please try Celebrity they will give you the luxury you pay for , I, sailing with NCL to Alaska ONLY because I have cruise next vouchers which is a scam they misrepresented when I got them so wish me luck.
Your suggestion is spot on high deck with a balcony I withdrew my bid for a higher category, knowing NCL with their new too much for a nickel not enough for a dime mentality I’ll probably end up in the laundry room. I’m willing to pay the corkage fee and bring 2 quality bottles of wine and get gouged on a case of water onboard, they are the only line that won’t allow a small amount of bottled water or canned soda even the other lines allow 2 bottles of wine as long as you consume them in your stateroom.
Lastly I never give them my credit card if I do I give a specific amount for them to charge and add to my onboard account accordingly and I learned from past experiences with NCL SETTLE your bill before end of cruise and get receipt, once I got the dreaded buzzer during disembarkation even though I had a zero balance smh.
Your correct about the security they seem like ex Filipino mafia, but the staff in general is very attentive and fun when you stop talk and engage with them
