Overall it was a great cruise despite the bad weather and some tour cancellation in Cayman Island. The bar and restaurant staff was great and very professionnal. I can not say the same about the help desk staff and Spa staff.... I think that pricing on drinks were way too high and unacceptable according to how much the liquor cost the company.

Norwegian Dawn is an excellent ship. Service was excellent. Food was good in general and even excellent in the evenings in the main dining rooms. Shore excursions appear overprized.

A very clean and orderly ship, from the floors to our rooms. Friendly crew and always was good to my family. We went over the Christmas break and it was nice to see the decorations that seem to complement any religion or season. There was always something to do, almost too much. The variety of foods (our little one has food allergies) to complement what our family needed. We went to almost all the restaurants on ship (we were on a nine day cruise) and enjoyed to see familar faces who we got to know from the kitchen staff. We utilized the kids center a very structured and clean program.

Overall the ship was nice, nothing special, but nice. NCL has been taken over by greedy money hungry corporate types. EVERY TIME you turned around, they had some scheme or scam to lighten your wallet. My wife enjoys Bingo. We went, and everytime we did, there was some smoke and mirrors scam. The $1,000 pot wasn't awarded at the first game, so, it was SUPPOSED to be rolled over into the $2,000 game that afternoon. Not only was it NOT rolled over, they didn't pay the original $2,000 either. Before EACH of the shows, they had some goof on a microphone trying to sell raffle tickets for a free cruise, or lottery tickets for cash.

This was our second time cruising on the Dawn and for the most part enjoyed it very much. The pool deck and the actual pool itself is very small and doesn't lend itself to too many sun bathers. The crew on this boat and the entertainment was stellar! We cruised on this boat in 2008 as well and found the variety of food and the quality to be better last year. We would recommnend this ship for first time cruisers!

The ship was very nice, very clean. The layout was easy to navigate around without getting lost. A definite recommend on the Norwegian Dawn.

I had a wonderful time with Norwegian Dawn. I didn't feel well on my first day and on christmas day because the weather was bad and I was nocious. I laid down in my bed and felt better. I woud recommend this ship to anyone who want a lovely vacation. The ativities were excellent and I felt safe throughout the trip.

NCL lost our luggage TWICE during the same 5-day cruise. Despite multiple promises NCL refused to reimburse our expenses. At least 6 cabins were affected in the same way. On embarkation NCL staff urged us to hand the luggage to NCL porter (right in front of our ship). Our luggage tags were clear and correct, we made sure porter understands the bags go on the Dawn, and we tipped him. In the evening Guest Relations told us that NCL mistakenly loaded all 3 bags onto wrong ship (Jewel), and they would not be returned to us during the cruise. We submitted all forms NCL required, and informed them that we had another cruise planned just after this one. We received one-day emergency kit and $100 onboard credit per person, but after the wave of complaints from all luggage-less passengers, the allowance was increased to $200. The onboard credit was useless, since gift shop does not carry many necessities, such as prescription medication (we only had one-day supply in the carry-on), certain toiletries, or clothing and sandals for a 60 woman with shoe size 11. My face powder and mascara bill alone was over $70. The swimsuit costs $99, etc. However, Front Office Manager Anita Niedinger, and Imelda Valdez from Guest Service told us to buy all necessities onshore regardless of the $200 keep the receipts, and the money would be reimbursed by NCL Miami office. This promise was repeated to us every day, multiple times. We spent $335.26 on medication, clothing and toiletries. We wasted most of our time onshore trying to find necessities. With no swimsuits, no sandals, and no gear none of our Caribbean plans materialized. On 18 Dec we disembarked and proceeded to retrieve our luggage. To our horror we found only 2 of 3 bags. The staff was clueless, so I called NCLs main office. We were lucky that I researched NCL contact information while still on the ship; otherwise we would be left helpless. At some point Ms. Michelle Cross from the NCLs Miami office, told me to describe the contents of our luggage (again), because there was a number of misplaced bags in the office and with some luck one of them would be ours. Once this operation failed, she told me that she emailed the Jewel with a question about our luggage. I was outraged: we had five hours left until our next cruise leaves and she sends an email? Only after I cried she acted to find out that our missing bag was still on the Jewel. Since my husband still had no luggage, Ms. Cross extended the reimbursement promise, so we replaced some of my husbands missing items. In Miami we spent additional $533.64. The luggage was supposed to be delivered to Cartagena (one of the ports of call of the next cruise). It was not. After more complaints and more telephone calls we received our luggage back on the December 25th (soaking wet and completely destroyed). My husband wore jeans to Christmas Eve dinner. He spent 13 days without his luggage. I filed reimbursement claim , and asked NCL for a full refund of the fare we paid for the cruise. NCL offered $175 credit per person toward future cruise. After I wrote to CEO, they increased this to $349. We were promised cash reimbursement! This credit has no value to us, since we will never sail with NCL again.

Staff was very friendly. Food was good quality in my opinion they had something for everyone. Getting on and off the ship was very quick and well organized. Internet service was poor and expensive. Overall I would take another cruise with NCL.

It doesn't have all the newest features like the Jewel. It is starting to show wear but our experience in the private dining rooms, the theater and lounges was terrific! The staff was always pleasant and went out of their way to greet us even when we weren't looking their way. Grand Cayman and Cozumel ports gave us lots of time to explore.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our five night cruise which we booked to celebrate our 20th anniversary. The two ports of call were a lot of fun (Grand Cayman and Cozumel). The shopping director was excellent and so helpful with information about where to shop, coupons, references, and freebies, and where to find specific items. The entertainment on the ship was outstanding. (comedian, Second City, magician, show band, bands, shows, acrobats) We also enjoyed the magician's talk about memory skills. We attended art auctions for the first time and purchased a couple of starter pieces. We used the gym and attended two yoga classes.

A wonderful relaxing experience. Lots of activities for all lifestyles. Never felt like one was being "herded".

I do not recommend this ship for the only reason that it needs fixing before it goes out again.

The ship was very big and roomy. There was always something to do, you will never be bored.

Ship was clean, beautiful, and expertly attended! The smallest details were immediately taken care of for the comfort of all passengers. The crew were most attentive, professional, very polite, and personable. I would like to extend special thanks and recognition to the following: Ronald P., Restaurant Steward in Venetian; Christina in the Spa, and Rowena in Java Cafe. They were wonderful stewards of hospitality and service for the DAWN!

I enjoyed my time during 9 days except last day as where we had to dock the ship to San Juan, Puerto. Except for getting in touch with insurance to determine my status and delayed with insurance. They seemed to avoid my call

The Dawn is a great ship, sails very smooth in 5 to 10 foot seas, We found it to be very clean. Cabin was always cared for, and we were always asked if we needed any thing. I do think its very misleading advertising 8 Resurants but only 2 are free. The steak house on board was 25.00 per person. The 2 free dining rooms had mostly the same menue each night, with a few veryations. Seems like NCL is moving toward paying for food each night. Also if you wanted fresh juice that was a charge.

Staff on board is always trying to sell you something. Extra charge to use spa pool and spa facilities. Staff appeared to be doing a lot of "fooling around".

I loved the Norwegian Dawn. I thought the ship was beautiful. I thought the quality and preparation of the food was fantastic. Quite a few of the staff especially in The Venetian seemed inexperienced and inappropriate for their positions...too young with attitudes. Also experienced this with the busboys on the pool deck. I did not like being asked if I wanted a cocktail every 10 seconds on the pool deck and the Spinnaker Lounge...they swarm like bees on you. The photographers were in your face all the time also and then we could not even find our photos.
