Pleasant way to spend a week and visit Bermuda.

one word GREAT

Pretty good!

It was the perfect size and the decor was bright & cheery

The ship was in excellent condition, the rooms were good and our cabin steward was always helpful. The ship was easy to navigate and there were plenty of staff to help if needed.

The Norwegian Dawn was a spectacle experience, and focused on having entertainment for every age. There was always something to do, but also somewhere to get away and relax. The staff was very welcoming and friendly.

6 cruises with HAL, 1 QE2,  3 river boat cruises in  Europe. Our April 2014 cruise on Norwegian Dawn .Lifeboat drill a joke !  big  crowd of people approx' 150 herded into the  Aqua dining room, two crew memebrs on duty , one with red flag (ships left side )  green flag ( ships right side ) crowd noise level unreal , emergency  announcements and procedures  from bridge could NOT  be heard  above the room  noise level, female cruise member demonstrates how to don the  lifejacket, not much crowd interest here either , apparently in an emergency one has to follow the guy with the green flag to get you to  your life boat station and/or boat ? never did hear or see posted  what boat we were assigned to, most other cruise lines have cabin number and  lifeboat number highlighted and attached to the inside of your  state room door. Overall cruise experience was enjoayable with lots of day to  day activities, food also very good in main dining rooms and buffet (s)  ( we did not patronize the so called  "speciality" restaurants ) , entertainment excellent with lots of   variety, good CLEAN comedian, In closing found that some of the  "guest" services desk staff  seemed to have difficulty in understanding english ? unusual for someone in a "frront line " position.This writer is a former retired senior  marine engineer with many years seagoing experience.

The trip on a whole was great except for the room. It was for my 75th and husbands 80th birthday. We booked the Owners suite on the front of the ship, no balcony,just all windows. Since we don't get off the ship much, we wanted a great view. Out of 4 windows in the bedroom, you could only see out of 2 of them. The main room was just as bad. The  seal on the double pane broke and it caused the windows to fog up between the 2 layers of glass. Norwegian had to have known about this problem for quite a while. We contacted customer service, and 2 weeks later, the gave us credit (1/4 of our cost) to be used on a future cruise. I will say that the staff was the greatest we have ever had. Will we go back to Norwegian again?  Yes!! We'll just stay away from the front windows. 

There are many pros for Norwegian Cruise Lines.  This was our second cruise on NCL.  We have gone on 4 other cruises with other cruise lines.  The staff was excellent; everyone was extremely friendly.  Food was excellent and as well as the "family friendly" entertainment that we enjoyed every evening.  

The main complaint is that there is too much smoking allowed.  It was hard to avoid it.  For non-smokers this was very disappointing.

It seemed that on other cruises our room was attended to more frequently.  On this cruise our room was not "made up" until very late in the morning in most instances, while we were out of the room early in the morning.  It seemed that our room attendant may have had too many rooms to keep up with since he seemed to be working hard. 

It was disappointing to have our stop at Roatan cancelled.  We understand that it was due to an incident of robbery and murder of an NCL crew member on another ship and had happened recently.  However, we are from the Myrtle Beach, SC area which is a tourist area as well and we have reports of robbery and murder and the town doesn't shut down because of it.  The excursion that we booked was refunded, but we felt there could have been another benefit added such as a meal at one of the restaurants on the ship at no extra charge, for example.  We did not understand why we had to spend an entire day at sea due to not stopping at Roatan.  Maybe NCL knew more about the situation than was public knowledge and it was for our protection.  

Otherwise, we had a great time.  .We would definitely plan another cruise with NCL.  

Food was cold, over cooked, and not much to choose from....Had to ask for clean towels,  Did not stop in Honduras as stated..

BUT MOST OF ALL, I BOUGHT A $14,000.00 RING FROM DIAMOND INTERNATIONAL...THEY WORKED WITH ME AND GAVE ME A GREAT DEAL, I THOUGHT.....THE BIG DRAW WAS THEY GAVE US A REBATE OF $2,000,00 TO BE PAID BACK IN 6 MONTHS...WELL , I WENT TO MY OWN JEWERLER, AND QUESS WHAT..MY RING IS WORTH $10,00.00,,NOT THE 14,000.00 I PAID, PLUS, WE NEVER GOT THE REBATE PROMISED..WE HAVE PUT IN A COMPLAINT..NOTHING YET!   ''

DO NOT BUY FROM DIAMOND INTERNATIONAL!   AND I WOULD THINK TWICE ABOUT CRUSING  THE JEWEL  EVER AGAIN..

The Norwegian Dawn is a beautiful ship with top notch entertainment for all!

Everything was great!!

Overall, the staff was friendly, well-mannered and courteous. There were a couple of extremely rude staff members who exhibited racist tendencies, but overall it was a pleasant cruise.

Had wonderful time,just the two of us in familt suite,the special linch and breakfast great and plenty of room in suite with full bath,couch,dineing table.Service was great.Do what you want when you want.

Had a good experince getting on ship. Comedian was great! Musical couple where good. Pool not big enough for all on board. Food choices where the same . Ate at Cagneys was really good. Never offered Ice Tea or Lemonade at dinner. Milk was always empty during breakfast and lunch at Garden Cafe. Had breakfast at Blue Lagoon some mornings it was quite sufficent. Ordered an omlete there after I knew we could the next day.Selection of jelly for toast was only apple.Butter was always hard and hard to spread.Chocolate buffet was a dissapointment. Was not empressed at all. Balcony room clean but crowded for 3 people. Disembarking was great for self service,but signage would be great on which way to go.Carrying suitcases up and down stairs was an effort for most passangers. Elevator would not let you off appropriate floor. Make sure you are aware of service charge for each passenger before making a reservation. I will stick with Royal Carribean

Cruise from New Orleans is so easy!

Left port and our guys disappeared until dinner time. The meal that night was the best!

And the guys loved the sports deck. Hubby and I enjoyed the entertainment and our stateroom was very nice and roomy for the 4 of us. Loved having the balcony as well.

Great service, the dinners were a little repetitive though which was the only minus of the food for this cruise. The dining rooms seemed to serve the same thing with only one change per night.We got a little tired of that. 

The ports of call wonderful!!!  Enjoyed each one!

The staff is very kind and helpful, the cruise ship was well maintained.

Loved the secret window to the bridge..little known hidaway.

One of the issues with our ship was having only one pool and as a result the intoxicated college gang took over that area. Next time I will definitely find one with an extra pool. The ship should offer at least one more complimentary dining option as you will find that you will have to pay to dine at one of the other fee based restaurants to get away from eating the same food night after night. The other complaint was the port that required you to be tendered to shore was poorly organized and took forever to get to island.

Our (my 22 year old daughter and I)really liked the size of the ship. It wasn't too big. This was our second time cruising and our second time on the Dawn. I was happy because it was familiar and disappointed because I wish it was different at the same time. The ship was very clean, it had a wide variety of restaurants and good entertainment.

The cabin 8676 was right above the Spinnaker Lounge with constant music which made difficult for sleeping... The cabin had a smell like a sewer.. The Venetian Main Dining was very disappointing due to poor service and bad food.. The entertainment left a lot to be desired.. In the Havana Cigar Bar the filtration system needs to be looked after... No notice in The Garden Cafe indicating that omelets were made not using real eggs but using chemicals with Citrus Acid.. The overall looks and service needs improvements

The ship was beautiful, the entertainment was good also. I have been cruising for over 15 years & never had such a bad experience on a cruise as I did in this cruise! I went with my 19 & 6 years daughters. From the first night of the cruise I could not sleep due to the extremely loud group of young men next to my room. They were more than loud, they used profanity & obscenities in every sentence from 10 pm until 5 am. I reported the situation to guess services, they promised to increase security in the area but obviously nothing was done because the situation continue until the last night of cruise! I was very disappointed with the lack of involvement & action by cruse management staff!!
