the over all impression was everthing was just ok

the ship is awesome!!!!!!!!!my stateroom cleaning man was awesome!!!!!!!!!!i loved our poolside waiter.paul scally was out of this world funny.all in all everything was great and would do all over again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I found the staff to go above and beyond for the guests. The atmosphere on the ship was wonderful. Free style cruising is the best. I would recommend this cruise to everyone. The food and entertainment was very good. International performers and Second City Group is always good. I thought the show on the night before we got to Boston was the best. Bollywood. The pianos were playing in the dining room during dinner on deck 7 overlooking the Italian resturant.etc. Something for everyone

The Norwegian Dawn was our first cruise experience and we were not disappointed! Restaurants were quite varied, and if you don't mind the cover charge had some great food available (though the cover charge can get pricey for larger parties). Plenty of activities laid out in an absolutely WONDERFUL day planner which listed almost every activity by time, and denoted whether or not there were additional costs involved, seriously became our cruise bible. Lines to various events, help desks, or attractions were always manageable, didn't feel crowded at all during the trip except when it was raining and everyone was back inside. Wonderful art throughout the ship, most of it for sale at the auctions they do (picked up a few myself).

the only negativity I can give is that the hallways and stateroom decor could use updating....just color scheme ect....my stateroom was spotless.

The ship is nice.

The ship did not have enough to do on the ship. My teens were not happy with the cruise for lack of things for them to do. The food was not good except when we went to the Italian restaurant (which you had to pay more for). I have been on 2 other cruise lines which I liked much better (Royal Carribean & Carnival).

The ship was small and you had to walk through some restaurants and bars to get where you were going. Shops were few to be found. Poorly laid out if I have to say. Musters were performed indoors in restaurants or the theater. Not my idea of having at least a close up appreciation of the safety features on the ship. Maybe it was just the ship, but I wouldn't sail on it again.We purchased soda packages and then when ordering soda, we experienced disappearing wait staff. Ordered soda with meals and then had to flag down first waiter to get refills. One waiter came to our table at Gatsby's just after we sat down and ordered two sodas. He left and never returned. In fact, he stood at the bar with the bartender and chatted then left to deliver ''alcohol' to other guests. Sorry, but my wife and I can't drink with the medications we take. Quite a few of the waitstaff showed no emotion or smiled. This was the first cruise for us on this cruise line but perhaps we are spoiled from our previous 3 trips on a competing company with ,and now that we know, a larger ship with much better service and more shops.

This was our 12th cruise from Boston to Bermuda with NCL. Overall, it's the most convenient and easiest cruise because of no air travel - just a 40 min drive to the cruiseport. The cruise director, Paul Scally, sets the tone and theme for all of the entertainment (the best cruise director to date!!). As a NCL Platinum member, I expected to see more on-board benefits (including an upgrade) but didn't. NCL did host two Latitude member receptions and both were about as lame as they get - the second one for silver, gold and platinum members was the worst. When making my initial reservations with vacation Outlet I was informed that I would very likely receive an upgrade because I was booking a guaranteed stateroom plus my Platinum membership would increase the likelyhood - well, did not receive the upgrade. Other than my disappointment with my Platinum membership, the cruise was enjoyable.

I really enjoyed the cruise overall. It met my needs for a relaxing and fun getaway. The quality of the experience was very good. I especially enjoyed the diversity of people on board, the variety of activities available and the quality of the entertainment. It was nice to see the ship being inclusive of a whole range of disabilities.

I went on this cruise with my fiance, and we loved it! There were a lot of older people (we're in our late 20s) but this didn't bother us because we weren't really trying to meet new people -- we kept to ourselves and had a really nice time. The freestyle format was really great for this because we didn't have an assigned dinner table or time. It was wonderful to be in the same port for 3 days -- we felt that we got see and do a lot in that time (and we loved that there was no curfew at night, so we could come and go as we pleased). We liked the shows, but weren't so much into the other activities. We played trivia a couple of times, but other than that, we mostly read outside or watched movies in our room. We would both choose Norwegian again!

The crew and the captain were very friendly. The food was second grade. My room and the buffet area were dirty. My room and bathroom are very small.

Answering the question -Would you recommend this ship?- was hard to give a yes or no answer. I would recommend it with reservations. My husband and I have cruised on Royal Caribbean multiple times so we have some loyalty but that is not why we were not impressed with NCL. The Dawn was a nice enough ship but every time you turned around you were being charged for something. The freestyle dining is a good concept but the fact that you have to pay a cover charge in ALL the specialty restaurants is a bit much. Yes, we could have eaten in the Garden Cafe , Venetian , or the AQUA but it was nice to try something new. Yes no one had a gun to our head but again we were on vacation. Not only did you have to pay for these meals, but the quality of the food was OK. I am not sure if all the cruise lines are dropping their standards when it come to the food but it was evident on the Dawn. I guess the only way to find out is to travel on RCCL next time. My only other major complaint is the smoking that is allowed on each private balcony. yes it is your balcony and you should be allowed to smoke, but when you are blowing the smoke on your balcony and I am less than 1 foot away, I might as well light up. I am a former smoker and as you know we are the worst, but when you have finally quit, being subjected to the one thing you are trying to avoid, STINKS!!! We could not sit on our deck at all. I really hate it when people come back from a wonderful vacation and do nothing but complain. This is not my style, but I'm "JUST SAYING" For the most part it was wonderful trip. We met alot of great people, on and off the ship and will recommend this trip, but with an *.

Recommend a balcony mini suite or above as the inside side cabins I saw were dreadfully small and cramped. Def need better handicap accessiblilities for boarding. Signage at Balck Falcon Pier could have been better as well. But over all was the best vacationmy wife and I had in years. One other point....please if you cruise leave your kids home....take them on a Disney cruise.......not everything is meant for children

Food was decent. Plenty of different placed to eat to choose from (some with extra fee). Music was geared toward older group of people. Only one night for younger crowds which was a downfall. Comedy shows definatley worth seeing. Cruise directors are excellent hosts. Cabin rooms always kept clean and made up. Ship in general clean.

This is our first cruise and we felt so warm. The crew's service and management are very impressed. We love the cruise.

The ship was beautiful, the staff friendly, the amenities were great and overall a wonderful experience.
