Review summary

Lots of fun. Suite was great as were the ships personnel. Most ports were good. Plenty to do on the ship if you wanted to do something.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Dining rooms food was good however it took a lot of time to get served due to the number of diners. We ate at almost all the specialty restaurants some more than once. All were very good. The Mexican restaurant was a big disappointment with limited food selection and bar drinks. We did not eat at the Brazilian steak restaurant as we do not care for that sort of venue.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Did not use most. Pool had limited lounge chairs.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Entertainment was very good especially the singers and dancers.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Service was excellent throughout the ship. Our first butler, Jomar, was great and we saw him daily but he left for vacation with 5 days remaining and was replaced by butler Jane. We only saw her twice in 5 days. Our cabin steward Jeffrey was the best and really took care of us and our suite. Our concierge Roy saw us almost daily and continually strived to make sure we were happy and well cared for.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship was fine and always being cleaned or serviced. The ships layout was very confusing compared to other ships we've cruised on.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
This was the best suite we have cruised in. Very large, comfortable and always clean. The only issue was the shades that kept the sun out. Most were broken or damaged by previous cruisers. Without the shades the suite became unbearably hot and the a/c could not keep up.

Ports of call

Oranjestad, Aruba

5 out of 5
The port was excellent but we did not do a tour.

Willemstad, Curacao

5 out of 5
Always a beautiful port. Very colorful by the swing bridge. Took a bus tour of island. Both the port and tour 5 stars.

Kralendijk, Bonaire

4 out of 5
Bonaire is a boring desert with goats, wild donkeys and lots of cactus. We went on ATVs which was a blast but it was only in the desert. Rating the ATV tour a 4 star.

St. George's, Grenada

4 out of 5
The port is good however the old port was much more fun getting off the ship. We were on the Rhum Runner excursion which was terrible. It took us for a boat ride to a beach where we had to rent beach chairs on top of the excursion cost. Rating the Rhum Runner a 1 star port is a 4 star.

Bridgetown, Barbados

5 out of 5
Good port however be very careful when walking in town. There are deep gutters next to street crossings and are fall hazards. I know because I fell in one. Tour of Harrison Caves was outstanding and should not be missed. Town 3 star tour 5 star

Castries, St. Lucia

5 out of 5
Did not do anything in port. View from ship was beautiful. We went on the Segway Tour which was great fun. Port and tour 5 star.

St. John's, Antigua

4 out of 5
Port was beautiful. We went on the Catamaran Sail & Snorkel & Beach lunch. The snorkeling was not in a calm cove and water was extremely rough. Not much fun but we saw lots of fish. Need to be strong swimmer and very experienced to enjoy this. Most everyone came out of water early. Lots of rum with lunch and trip back. Port 4 star and tour was 2 star

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

5 out of 5
This is the place to shop. Especially for jewelry. Did not do a tour but went shopping. 5 star for this port.

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

3 out of 5
Not much at the ort. A few shops with the usual souvenirs. Not even a shirt with Tortola on it could be found. Did not do a tour. 3 star for port.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Excellent as always.
