Review summary

Good trip! Definitely will take a suite in the future!!!

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Plane landed late, so we missed priority boarding

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We were in a suite and never ate at a buffet. Every eating venue was terrific

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We are not much about the athletic opportunities on any ship - but having virtually no kids on board made the pool and excercise areas very nice.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
NCL always has the best shows. Lounge acts were ok, but nothing exceptional

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We had a suite. Butler and concerage took exceptional care to make sure we were comfortable and happy.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The Dawn is an older ship, and it has it’s share of dead ends and layout quirks but we soon figured out how to get around and the elevators always were available.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Very nice, very comfortable, nice aft balcony.

Ship tip

Study the ship maps before you board. It will save you a lot of time and energy!

Ports of call

San Juan, Puerto Rico

4 out of 5
Been there before. Old city is pretty cool, but skip the fort - it’s a real effort walking, it smells, and outside of the photo op’s of the city it’s boring.

Willemstad, Curacao

4 out of 5
It’s mostly a shopping port.

Oranjestad, Aruba

4 out of 5
More shopping - locals were not that friendly.

Kralendijk, Bonaire

5 out of 5
Lots of local artists and somewhat different than most Caribbean destinations.

St. George's, Grenada

3 out of 5
Opted for whale and dolphin tour that was rough and ran long. Didn’t seem much else to do at this island.

Bridgetown, Barbados

5 out of 5
Just go to the boatyard and be done with it. It’s the best place to party! Theboatyard.com

Castries, St. Lucia

4 out of 5
Visited on a Sunday and experienced church with locals. Very inspirational and a great cultural experience.

St. John's, Antigua

5 out of 5
We always walk the port then go to St James Beach. It’s close, clean, cheap, and quite. Food, drinks, and changing/bathroom facilities are great, and fast, free, wi_fi!

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

4 out of 5
Great beach! Just take the water taxi.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

5 out of 5
This is the best place for jewelry shopping.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Good, but it’s a smaller ship. Only the larger ships have proven to be a hassle.
