If you are going to sail anytime soon on the Breakaway, try and book a Haven suite.

Moderno has a nice breakfast buffet. It is smaller but you don't have a problem finding a seat.

At Dockyard Kings Wharf, there is an imitation pirate ship on water which is actually a small bar, free admission, ...they have a plank open to anyone (at your own risk) that you can jump off of the ship for a 30 ft. drop to the water below. A thrill to try (for adults or children alike).

Go to see the special show with dinner, Cirque Dreams & Dinner Jungle Fantasy, in the Spiegel Tent. Don't buy the VIP tickets and arrive early. Seating after VIP, is first come, first serve. If you arrive early, you will still get great seats.

Don't open your balcony door and your cabin door. Its a very big wind tunnel!!!!! I had to chase things down the hall!!!!!

A family suite is too small for 4 people especially if your kids are teenagers who are normally tall and big.

Stay in the HAVEN if you can. It's like the first class part of the ship, amazing service.

Use the MyNCL part of the website. Sign up for entertainment and speciality restaurant times before boarding. There are discounts offered on the site (extra pictures on photo packages, thermal spa package, etc.). Enjoy your cruise!

It was more casual dress than I expected, if you want to dress up more formal you can but do not go buy anything special, I spent money on clothes for white night cause I was informed you had to be dressed in white to attend and people were there in jeans and t-shirts, very disappointed about that.

Haven is the way to go. If you can book in the Haven you will not be disappointed at all.

La Cucina is the best place to eat. There is also a nice lounge nearby for relaxing in relative peace. If you like to explore the deck, I recommend Deck 7. Very few people frequent it because it has no outdoor bars or shops.
