Review summary

Too many people for the size of the ship. Not enough help. Wait wait for everything. No seats at buffet crowds everywhere. Lines for everything. Kids everywhere casinos, bars, so called adult shows. Tripping over kids EVERYWHERE. Food was a disappointment. Could not get off the ship for the ports because the tender lines were so long. Had to wait over twenty minutes for a drink at the bar. Could go on. Worst cruise ever.

Balcony was very small. Shower stall was VERY tiny. Cabin person was the only good thing (person) on the ship.

Ship tip

Only go if you like crowded conditions and kids everywhere. Take a book to read while you wait in line for everything!

Anne, I agree with this person's review of the Breakaway. It's loud, crowded, and serves cheap quality food. People are different, Anne, and some people thrive on that hustle/bustle everything planned weeks in advance environment. Obviously, this person needs something more sedate.

was on the Breakaway in December, not one issue. nothing to complain about. had a great time. never waited for drinks, food. staff was wonderful. how can anyone have that many complaints, not happy with anything?

We are also a cruise lovin couple! 6 times on breakaway...never go around holidays or popular family times (ie cheap dates). we go in dec/jan when the rug monkeys are at school. Never a problem with anything you listed. Dining/Drink package and vibe pass ensured best service and food possible. got the 12 day for dec 2017 sched and 14+7 back to back in 2019 on the escape!

very glad to hear you guys had a great time thus is my 3rd Cruuse in NCL but first time for the breakaway I loved my last 2 cruises never had a better time

Been on Breakaway 6 times and never waited longer than 5 minutes if that for a drink. No complaints here.

I bet the ice cream was to cold also...water was to wet...sand was prolly to white also can't believe people spend money to go on a trip and all they do is whine about everything.....go camping and watch the squirrels next time been on the breakaway last Oct along with 7 other ncl ships and can't even imagine complaining like some people do about such petty stuff

Maybe it's more about the time you went. We went last September and we loved it. The most we waited for anything was about 5 minutes. Also, there is only a tender when they can't pull up to the dock. I can't imagine it would have taken too long to get off the ship in other ports.

went on the Breakaway last November and it was wonderful, the only bad thing was disembarking at Manhatten, longest I waited at a bar was 5 minutes and that was the first afternoon.
