Review summary

Norwegian is the worst!! Terrible food that they serve the same day after day. Wait 45 min to get seated in the main dining room. You're always waiting for something. Everything is super expensive like the drinks, and they nickel and dime you on everything. Do yourself a favor and go with Royal Caribbean. They are 100 times better and a great value!

Currently I am in the Breakaway for a 16 night transatlantic and my husband and I are really enjoying it. For a while we have been cruising with RCCL and Princess and we were not a fan of those recent sailings. We haven't been on NCL since 2017 and we missed it and feel like we are home again. The food has been good, way better than RCCL and Princess. So I am sorry you didn't enjoy but to each their own, I guess.

Strange. I’ve never waited more than 10-15 minutes to get into the MDR on any NCL ship. They also have one of the cheapest drink packages of any cruise line with Free at Sea, where it ends up being about $140 per person for the basic (up to $15 per drink) package. That covers a huge range of options. You aren’t getting that on RCCL. the things they up charge for are the same things you pay extra for on most other lines.

Funny u say go to RC instead but ur very commentary is the very same thing i thought in 2019 on my 1st RC cruise - food was terrible and i felt nickled and dimed to death after paying what i felt was too much for the cruise. Ill b cruising the Breakaway next month and i pray its not a repeat of my RC experience.
