Ports of call were great, transiting the Panama canal was a lifetime experience. Ship staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. And the activities were heavy on game shows, trivia, bingo and music. It was very little of educational nature in their schedule activities
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Embarkation was smooth. I did wait to get on the ship, but I knew that I would have to wait as I arrived before the ship was ready.

Food and Dining
4 out of 5
There was a wide variety of food in the buffet. The main dining rooms were always available with good food. The service could be slow, but probably because I always ate with a group of 6-10. They make great crispy bacon, but their fries were consistently poor. (At least in the complimentary venues)
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
I was very disappointed that there were no lectures or talks about the Panama canal prior to our transiting the canal. They did have a person on board who talked about the canal as we went through, but if you didn't happen to be in a spot on the ship where you could hear the overhead announcements you didn't even get that information. I think this was a colossal failure on the part of Norwegian as I believe most people took this cruise strictly to go through the Panama canal. Experience could have been much better if there had been preparation prior to going through and perhaps even a wrap up lecture after we transited the canal.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
I enjoyed both Broadway productions, the Jersey boys and six. I think the Beatles experience was overdone and that they played multiple times. I wish there had been one or two other bands or singers in the main theater instead of having the Beatles experience play multiple shows.

Service and Staff
5 out of 5
I received excellent service from all the staff on board that I came in contact with. They were always smiling, wishing me a good day and answered any question I had with a smile.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
I think the concept of having everything in the atrium was poorly thought out. Guest services, on board credit, next cruise etc. were all on the same level and the same area as the stage where game shows and music were played. Made it very difficult to conduct any kind of business when the band was playing at loud decibels. They're also was never enough seating in the atrium for people as multiple things were held there that drew a big audience. They did set up folding chairs for the overflow of people, but those are very uncomfortable to sit in for any length of time. In my view this was a colossal failure in design.
Cabin / Stateroom

My cabin was very clean, it was small but functional. The only problem was the bed was actually too big for that room and I had about 6 in of room to get in and out of bed which was a little tough in the middle of the night!
It took almost 3 hours to disembark. We waited in multiple spots for 35 to 60 minutes with no explanation by any staff member. Several people around me miss their flights because getting onto the Norwegian shuttle buses wa I was scheduled to leave the ship at 10:15. My group was called at that time and then we proceeded to wait in the hallway for at least 45 minutes. No in I had a 10:15 time to leave the ship. My group was called at about 10:10 and then we stood in the atrium area for about 45 minutes waiting to leave the ship. No information was given on why we were waiting so long until 1 ships personnel came out and yelled out. It's your customs that are holding us up. Which didn't really help anybody in any way. When we finally did get off the ship, there were no directions on where to go to catch the Norwegian shuttle bus to the airport, the directions on how to pick up your luggage were poor, the line to exit the airport was long but I realized that was due to immigration. Once we exited the building where we collected our luggage, there was no signage or information on where to go to pick up this shuttle bus. Eventually we figured out where to go and we waited at least 1 hour to get onto a shuttle bus. There were buses sitting there with the doors open but no one was allowed to enter again. There was no information on what we were waiting for and people were getting quite angry. I know several people miss their plane because this process took such a long time. This was a terrible way to end a very nice cruise and it left a bad taste in my mouth and I am hesitant to use any Norwegian
We walked off ship at 7:30,after finally getting that info.,four crew members give different answer.walk off was a long trip.got into big immigration check, only 6people checking passport, only time any one looked at it.buus to LAX was another long walk.was a mess at LAX. How buy the way, ship, crew, food, cabin were nice.be ready to walk to get to shore ex.,great food, nice surprise.would go again in a minute.going to French Polynesian on sun.
